I told Jason to restore backup and go to version 18 to see what happens.

I was thinking that...if hes having issues...will a simple revert back to a canned tune or the OEM tune fix everything? or once you mess w/ it, have you caused damage that will need fixing?

Yes, I'm very curious to see (unless I missed this) if the car continues to do this when the stock tune is reapplied.

Are the same conditions present, is it still throwing the same code when the vehicle is restored to "Stock" with the Predator? If you haven't returned it to stock, do so immediately. You can easily pop another tune in. But start from the basics, and let's go from there.

He just installed 18 and is doing a test drive. I told him to restore to stock if the symptoms continue and do another test drive.

I suggest restoring to stock before doing anything, especially before replacing the CROM file.

    Yep

    Too late.

OK, I uploaded the version 18. Re-set all other modifiable parameters to what they were when the issue happened.

I HAMMERED the car in autostick and drive from slow, medium and fast rolls, from dead stops. NOTHING. Car runs and shifts marvelously. I even laid down some rubber going into 2nd in autostick a couple times.

I THINK this has solved the issue, as before, I was getting the bad shifts/warning light 3/4 of the times I was WOT.

Now with 18, its running/acting like a champ.

    So...

THANK YOU to everyone for your help and interest. Especially Rick and Dave... plus all you other mopes.

    I will update if/when needed.

Thanks a TON once more folks.

Glad to see you have found resolution. Tuning even with a handheld can be a task and a half.

Ok. I'm pissed. WTF is this? I go to bowling night and come back to this? You call on the red phone. You hit the panic button. All stations. You start spewing out new threads like a virus. You got people calling in their markers to get builders and tuners standing by on their cell phones. EVERYBODY scrambles. You get EXPLICIT instructions and then proceed to completely blow them off.

Keep any records (no clue as to what was flashed when)? NO
    Get any logging? NO
Step back to normal shift points first? NO
    Restore stock tune first? NO

You just blow in another tune and floor it to see what happens...
That's like taking a piss behind a mail box and figuring if you can't see them they can't see you. Your car should be confiscated and given to that woman you picked up in the bar.

Only way I can see for you to salvage any spec of self respect at all is maybe a sequel to the Mother Mopar Performance video.
