Agreed the external wga is better for boost control and u CAN go on PCM boost with a external wga I did it for like a couple weeks when I just got the 50trim and it worked well

    Doing more searching.

For sure not going to do the port-work. $400 is just way too much...

Still not sure on the ceramic coating....
Stuff like this leads me away from it:

For sure going to get the Maxxfab Stage 3 02 housing (Perfect for my 3'' exhaust) and the AGP S3 WGA so I can hold more boost. Roughly $300 for that.

Debating on putting a 44lb wheel in there when my turbo is getting rebuilt... Not sure if there are any gains with just the 44lb compressor wheel as opposed to the reg 39lb S3.

slower spool time but more power is my guess...

Insulation works both ways. It keeps heat out but it also keeps heat in. Meaning all that heat in your exhaust goes out the tail pipe (and much quicker BTW) and not into the engine bay.

So you recommend getting it ceramic coated inside and out. Won't gum up the WGA flapper?

I can tell you from experience that no, it will not gum up the flapper.

Awesome, I believe I will have that done. Going to be ordering the Maxxfab S3 02 housing. Then I can ship that out with the rest of my stuff so he can coat it.

Decided not to get it ceramic coated. I did a ton of research and there isn't enough positives to have it done. Plus there are some people on chicagolandsrtclub.com who had it start to flake off, even the 2k degree stuff. I think I am going to have Forward Motion rebuild my turbo and replace the Iconel wheel. They are cheaper too than F&F.
