This poll is to find out if folks prefer the format I've been doing (pics with text) or if they would like to see a video format for my future DIY articles? Please vote, and feel free to leave any notes or ideas. Thanks!
Pics with text. I don't know how you'd get videos as good and detailed as the pics. Also the pics are way faster and more focused (on the point at hand) rather than having to go through all the "filler" on a video. Some people are going to want to spend more time than others looking at the details in a pic than others. A video isn't conducive to that. Of course if you're feeling the need to perform, I'm sure they'd be just as valuable. :bigwink: ...was this prompted by a perceived drop in quality? I've noticed a glaring absence of the "Two Thumbs UP" seal of approval on the last couple of DIYs. Maybe you should use that instead of a poll. Try a video. If it gets the Two Thumbs UP seal of approval then you could risk trying the format change.
Gotcha. The vids would be edited cleanly, and have as many close-ups and still images as necessary. Things can be added/removed to the vids as well. I've done the last few solo, so Keith wasn't able to hand-model or throw the Two Thumbs Up. If quality has dropped, no one has said anything to me.
That's why I said "perceived". I haven't noticed any. But I figured maybe Keith was withholding the treasured seal of approval for some finer points that normal people wouldn't notice :bang::rofl2:
You should do "test" videos... see what kind of feedback you get! Videos are not a bad idea for those of us (me, for one!) who are not so mechanically inclined!!
Though the videos could be helpful. I do prefer printable versions so it is easy to use when you are actually working on your car.
While both are best case, I agree with sir Mains here. But i guess with the fancy gizmos these days you can always bring a laptop out while you work on it with wireless lol .
