Well, shortly after i installed the HHP heads/cam/Kooks ect, I snapped the driver side 1/2 shaft. Had plans for a 8.8 but really didnt want to wait 3 more weeks after all, the car has been sitting for 6 months already.
So, i ordered the getrag with 3.73. Had it all in 2 days. I already had the pro torque "billet stator" 4400 in the box waiting. I was just waiting for the PP valvebody and flex plate. It all arrived last week and had it all put in yesterday/today.
First impressions, the 4400 feels like stock. Maybe i expected something way to drastic, but i really couldnt believe how streetable it is. No surging, nothing.
The valvebody seems to make the shifts a little more entertaining, but i was expecting to much i think.
The 3.73's seem to make the car come alive a little faster but i wasnt totally blown away.
Is there a little "break in" time for the converter or anything? Just doesnt seem to be what i expected. Seems like a dust shield or something is rubbing on the rotor. Can hear a funny sound. Definetly coming from the wheels. For some reason, the check engine light is on, but there is no codes? Maybe have to pull the negative. Not sure if they did that when swapping the diff, TQ converter and valvebody.
Any tips/tech from the guys that already went down this path.
Cant get my interceptor gauge to work so i can check transmission fluid with the miller tool. I get the names of the parameters but only get a 0 and sometimes there is no reading at all?

Make sure you have the correct "Platform" selected for your vehicle. I did not at first and some parameters didn't read any values. It came up at first boot and I chose what I thought was right because I was in a hurry. Your options will be 1, 2, 3, 4 or however many there are.

I believe this is the most current manual. Check page 22.

I think there is an issue with trans temp when it is working correctly also...you have to be in "D" to read trans temp, or it shows coolant temp when in "P" This is an inherent flaw in Chryslers programming, not an Aeroforce issue. Search this, however, because I can't remember the specifics.

You won't notice any difference on the converter till you get to the track and stomp on it. Then it will shine, and the billet converters like to be flashed, not stalled. Make sure you reset the tranny adaptives with the new valvebody.

    Thanks guys!
I got the aeroforce figured out thanks to jon. As per the CEL, i dont think they pulled the - of the battery. I disconnected the + and the - negative for about 1/2 hour. Started the car and NO CEL.
Took the car to the dealer to have the transmission fluid checked and they said it was a "little low, but its ok because the transmissions will run warm with the valvebody and the TQ converter thats in there". What do you guys think? I think i should put it to where it's supposed to be?
Erik, i forgot to reset the adaptives when i changed to gearing to 3.73. Maybe that will make it feel a little better.
When i brake stall the "4400", it goes to about 2650 before it wants to "lurch" forward. It honestly feels like stock. Very streetable converter!
Found out the dust plates were rubbing into the brake rotors a bit, that's what was causing part of the sound i was hearing. There is still a "wooshing" type sound as the girlfriend explains it. I will take it for a ride and see. Dealer said maybe the CV's were not set in yet? I am gonna go do some left turns(10), right turns(10) and some figure 8 (10) and see what happens.
I told the guys who did the install to put some washers between the getrag and pinion mount. They couldnt see why or how that would help in any way for a "whinning" sound. I gotta go see if they did. Maybe thats the "whoosh" sound she is hearing?

3.73's on a getrag will be noisy washers or not.
