How do I get the tune that's "in" my charger now, into my Predator, without having the tune file from my last dyno visit???? Is it possible???

Also, I'm trying to update my buddy's V6 Predator. Before I can get the lastest CROM, it's telling me to "restore the orginal backup to the vehicle." What's that mean I have to do?? Sor for being such a dipshit, I've never really gotten into this stuff yet, and haven't done it often enough to be fluent with it. :( My cell phone is 205-907-6214 if it's easier to just call me.

I think so. How did the tune get on your car in the first place?

If the Predator is brand new and not "married" to your car, when you hook it up it should (assuming it doesn't want a cal update or something like that) back up the tune in the PCM as the Original Backup.

If the Predator was used to write the tune to your car and it's still married to your car then it should be in there? In the Custom Tune menu. If you wanted to get it on the PC it would be the last tune written.

The Predator is already "married" to my car. The tune got implanted into my car, via the dyno session I had a couple weeks ago. They just haven't emailed me, or Andy the tune yet.....

I think it's possible that it can be locked in the predator but if it's not it should be the last tune written. They did use your predator to write the tune to the car at your last dyno session? That's probably how they did it.

Fire up the Predator and somewhere in info or something it's going to say what the last tune written was. If it looks like your custom tune (name wise) then Run the dsdownloader, then go to get tune, then check the box or whatever to get last tune written to upload it to your PC
