I think I have the latest... Updated in June last time. Not sure what version you have to say if it is worth it, but a recent addition is the throttle boost... You can advance or delay the throttle response, and it is pretty cool to crank it up a bit!

You're not really advancing or delaying the throttle response. You are amplifying or attenuating the signal. No difference in response time.

Let's say there is a 1/2 second delay when you move the pedal from zero to 50% (it takes 1/2 second after you move the pedal to the corresponding movement at the throttle blade).
Then you apply some throttle boost.
Now when you move the pedal from zero to 50% the throttle blade actually moves to 75%.
There is still a 1/2 second delay before the corresponding movement.

This can give the illusion of "faster" throttle response but you're just shortening the "throw" of the pedal. Unless you are having problems with the amount of travel in the pedal I would think this could make it harder in some situations. Like launching with less than full throttle. You might want to soft pedal a launch at 80% throttle but you want to open the throttle to 80% as fast a possible. With a shorter throw it's going to be harder to snap your foot to exactly the 80% spot. Not sayin it's not a desireable adjustment to be able to make but it's not eliminating any of the drive-by-wire response delay. That's why they call it "boost".

    (i could be wrong)

i saw that MPG BOOST N THROTTLE BOOST on the latest DIABLO TUNE.i think its 9r29.i had install the latest tune in my 06 (5.7) charger and i didnt see the fan setting or 3other setting u would normally see on the older tunes and 4 some odd reason in AUTO STICK,the car would shift on its on when the RPM'S get high.

I cannot get the tuner to update. I've tried to get it to run on Windows 7, and a Vista Machine. I've been attempting to find an XP machine from friends and they've all embraced the hate.

Of the 3 Laptops, 2 desktops and 1 Netbook I'm all crapped out. I wanted to give the 9r29 tune a shot for road trips seeing that it stated MPG tunes.

Based on further feedback here, I may just hold off if it's not a worthwhile venture to reformat a PC just for a tuner. :shok:

I've been successful with updates from Vista and Windows 7 laptops... Not sure what would be getting in the way.

    Correct

    Are you sure about this?
I thought it was explained to me that the "response time" was increased. So... as in your example the 1/2 sec (0.50s) may become 0.30s. And the throttle blade still opens to 50% not 75% it just did it faster.

Wasn't there another term that wass used for this? It was called "Tip-In" and it was increased a little in like R18 of the Predator. But now Diablosport has given it to us as an adjustment.

    Nope you are right...

    I stand corrected.

    From Mikel at Diablosport...

its so simple, you shouldn't even be able to write a paragraph about it.

It increases the throttle opening relative to pedal input.

So...simply said if you push the throttle for a 50% opening, and you have throttle boost adjusted at 20%, then the throttle blade is going to open 60% (50% throttle response + 20%).

Oh I'm sure it's me! I have a way of getting things all FUBAR'd. I'm not a creative person, nor am I good with much technology. But if you need something ripped apart and utterly destroyed, that's what I'm good at.

From my understanding, if you have a older Predator, it won't work. Contact diablo and get the 29l tune, which is a smaller version that won't do the mass of vehicles the original one is set for. I guess it has something to do with the memory in the tool itself not being sufficent.

This is however, if you are getting a error on the tool itself after the "update" is completed, and it goes to reset itself. If it's a error on the puters itself, than the above won't matter, yet anyways..
