FYI, I noticed my shifts have not been as firm since getting the 2wd issue resolved--still "firm" overall but not quite what they used to be. I let Dave/B&G know and we are now working together (him tuning, me testing) on getting an optimal scenario (the 2wd issue being related to tq management, which affects shifts/launch) figured out. Hopefully by the end of the week everything will be exactly where it should be. Thanks again Dave for working with us and giving us the results we want.
Just tested out another tune, and am quite pleased with the revisions made. I'll keep everyone posted as to when it's 100% perfect.
After another day and another tune, we're there. Dave's found the optimal split between launch tq management (lack of, essentially being what caused the 2wd prob.) and firm shifts. Props again to Dave for taking the time to iron everything out 100%.
When you get it dialed in do you think Dave will make the modifications to our existing tunes or will we have to pay to have that done?
I'm sure Dave will fix your existing tunes (assuming you got it from him in the first place). Just shoot him an email.
I'm not sure that Mike has the latest tune/revision that Dave just sent me earlier today, since it's literally so new. I'm sure in the next few days they will communicate in everyones best interest.
I'm your Huckleberry. Me with H/C + spray vs. you with your blower (and small shot to "intercool":hmm sounds like a fair race. :bottom:
Andy I wonder if he did a similar thing to the tune that you received today to my tune that I received yesterday. My shifts seem better than they were when I had to 2wd issue. After driving it for a pretty good amount of time, I think its almost perfect. I sent a data log to dave just to take a look at, after I installed the new tune, and make sure everything looked good to him. He never sent me a new tune, so I am thinking it is up to his standards. I dunno....
Yes my shifts were almost neck snapping (1-2/2-3 anyway) when it was 2wd, I kinda miss that part. Dave did a great job in finding a balance though, it still launches like a champ and shifts hard, just not jolting hard.
It's fixed T. Dave has now the optimal TQ management scenario. No more excuses big dog, get 'er done!
