hahahaha, barely!!! So what's the thinking on this, why a limit? And why 75 bucks, seems so arbitrary??
i think just like they said above....people would just fill up and go without paying with like $500 worth of gas lol.... maybe they just do it to mess w/ us even more then usual hahah
Oh no doubt messin with ya. Prolly some stupid state law left over from the 70s gas shortage, idiots. Someone in the state capital there needs to WAKE UP and realize it's 2008 and gas costs $4+/gal and is rising!!!!!!! AND remember that most of us have huge trucks or suvs to fill too!!!!!!!!! Jesus, surprised the gas companies aren't all over this, it's limiting their profit!!
It comes from the credit card companies. They're the ones who set the limits (some are $50!!!) Why? To prevent abuse/theft. If you reach your limit, just replace the nozzle and start the process again with a new card swipe. PITA, but....
Not to be silly but you know you can just run your card again and continue to fill to full. Have you not thought of this? One of the gas stations by me only lets you go to $100, need a little more than that to fill the Ford van. I run my card twice.
it did not let me back in the day....didnt try it this time cause i was runnin late.... i guess my point is...you shouldnt HAVE to do that lol...make the limit $125...call it a day...everyones happy (or as happy as they can be with paying $75+ per fill up lol)
I agree completely. It has to be the gas station. Tell the manager that it is a ridiculous limit and it needs to be raised.
hmmmm :hmm:...maybe if my normal gas station does it to me i'll do it...i was at some random gas station (a Citgo) on the way to a dinner thing
I remember a few years ago the tanks had a $50 dollar limit. I hit it with my Avalanche. I emailed the corporate office and explained my situation and they raised the limit on the pumps to $75. Might wanna try that.
OUCH brudda, that's brutal, and here I thought I was gettin reamed in Nazi-land at 4 and 1/4! So I'm a little confused now, is this limit thing a cc thing or a state law thing? Or an individual gas station thing?? :stars:
