Seems like every several months I seem to have an electrical gremlin. Last time was on 8/20/07. Today I was barely cruising with Steve when the bell chimes and I look down to see all the gauges lit. The dashawk no longer had power. The EVIC said transmission overtemp when the temp gauge was completely to the left. About 2 minutes later we reach our destination, put the vehicle in park. The gear selector still displays second gear. Hmmmm. Turn off the rig, turn it on and now all the lights are displayed on the gear selector (the third time I've seen this) and the Dashawk will power up but wont communicate. Still same overtemp message on the EVIC. Turn it off for another minute, crank it again, she starts up and I hear the fan kick on and all is well? Logged 7 codes in all: U110C Unknown/No definition P0480 Cooling Fan Control Circuit U0141 Lost Communication With Body Control Module A U1403 Unknown/No definition U1411 Unknown/No definition U110E Unknown/No definition U110F Unknown/No definition I cleared the DTCs which once again the Dashawk would not (it's supposed to) as last time. The last time I also had the U0141 code. It would seem to make sense to me that the BCM lost communication causing an error with the fan and triggering the overtemp message? Who knows and why?

What up Oz? The DH has been in for 6 months at least. Mind you I had driven 65 miles this morning and met Sgt. Stanko for breakfast. It's when we drove to his pad that this happened. I started it probably 8 times since then and drove home with not a blip on the radar. That's exactly what happened 2X before. The incident and then nothing for months. Ohhh, and btw this was on the GC. I've never had an issue like this with the Charger....um yet.
Well there's your problem, right there. You gotta choose your passengers more carefully! :bigwink: Very weird since it's not consistent at all. Hopefully someone will chime in with some ideas.
There's a few owners with Gremlins on the red site. I need to take it in anyways as Steve noticed I'm just barely developing a power steering leak from the line. She'll go in this week. Anytime you tell them to diagnose crap like this, I know they wont be able to duplicate it. :book:
Gremlins Every LX I've seen came with all fuses and relays loose, from the factory. I'd press down every fuse and relay, and disconnect the battery overnight then power up and flog the hell out of it for the adaptive learning.
I realize that. I haven't checked the Jeeps to see if they come w/loose fuses. But any car, if I'm getting gremlins, I'm seating all fuses and relays and disconnecting the battery and then reflogging again.
