Real Tune is our January Supporting Vendor.

Some of the things you guys have done for us with very little in return is just down right amazing. What does that mean exactly? It means the Connection cares about its members and cares about their vendors. This means a lot in age where most places only care about the bottom line [money].

Next I would like to thank the Connection for this opportunity to share with all the members a bit about ourselves that many of you might not know. On to the story....!!

Realtune started from the sheer passion for the Neon SRT-4 and overwhelming demand for our services. I was working a full time job in 2003 when the NSRT4 came out. My partner and childhood friend Rick was working for Ford over an hour away from me. I picked up in March of 2003 a Solar yellow SRT4. Keep in mind we had to ship up the Neon from Florida as they were not out available in Ohio yet. I was driving a 99 Neon R/T that I turbocharged at the time. Once I took a 5 minute test drive in the NSRT I was sold. I took home the NSRT4 that day and never looked back.

Over the next few months I spent countless hours at a good friends dyno shop learning the ins and outs. I would spend 20/hrs a week on the dyno trying new things and figuring out what worked and didnt work. I had no intention of starting a business at the time, I just wanted to figure the car out. Many of the things that are taken for granted today with the NSRT4 were figured out by me in those 20 hours a week I spent at the dyno shop. From there it spawned into me helping a few out of state guys with their cars and the word spread like wild fire. Pretty soon I was spending all my free time working on the Neons and chatting on the forums. I than released the very first map clamps and fuel return lines for the NSRT4 and people loved them. This went on until early 2005 when it got so overwhelming for me that I asked my childhood friend Rick to move back home and come work with me. It was a hard decision for Rick as he had a house and a good job. After pondering for awhile and taking a look at what I created on the side, he realized there was a good chance we could make something sound out of it. He packed up his things and moved back home. We actually worked out of house garages for a few months until we found a shop. Once we found a shop things exploded for us to where it became a strain for 2 people. We held in there and got a very good system down to where we are doing 5x the work and still only 2 full time people. We eventually hired on a part time worker Brad. Brad is very very good at wiring.

With the emergence of Brad, we now have some of the best people in our markets under one roof. Rick with his amazing building skills and rapidly growing manufacturing skills and Brad with his talented wiring skills. Than toss in my extensive knowledge of tuning and nack of holding all the pieces together. What you end up with is a personal touch to each car and a no nonsense approach to making the car the best it can be for your budget.

To this date we are the only shop to have two 10 second street SRT4 builds. We have the Worlds quickest/fastest Caliber SRT-4 and we are now working our way into the SRT8 community. We have very big plans for 2009 including a relocation to the NC area. Realtune will also be expanding into a few other markets in 2009 and I expect the move to NC later in the year to bring many new opportunities that the weather stricken Ohio wouldnt allow. Realtune will also focus more on manufacturing in 2009. What that means for all of you is my strict guidelines on quality will merge with great prices and quick deliveries. Something we are known for in the Neon world but have always relied on other manufacturers mainly. Those days are coming to an end and you can expect some really amazing parts for the newer vehicles we will be adding to our stable.

I want to thank the Connection one more time for all of their help. You guys did a very wonderful thing in helping with Billys funeral costs. Billys mother broke down in tears when she received the check that everyone pitched in on. It was one of the best moments of my life and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

In closing I want to say here is cheers for 2009 and what I hope to be a wonderful year for us and all of you!
