Sarge lives local to me and was the first person in the area to own an SRT8 after me. He bought a black 2006 Charger SRT8 like the one I owned. We first met at Bristol's Thunder Valley Drag Way in the summer of 2006 and have been freinds since. He is a prince of a man. Sarge had the bad luck of dropping a valve a couple months ago. This caused a piston to bust and drove a rod thru the oil pan. It also cracked his block ruining the motor. Out of the ashes he installed a 426 stroker in it's place. The engine was tuned by Josh at HHP. Now the reason for the congrats...Sarge took the car to Bristol last night. His best run with street tires was 12.63.....not record stuff but excellent time for a track that had little or no prep and a density alt of 3659'........corrected time would be about 12.1..should see high 11s when he gets the DRs........but this was not his real accomplishment. He entered a contest they put on called 'king of the Track"....sarge entered the 13 second bracket and won it with an average run of 13.04......he did a great job for first time on the track with the new motor...this was hard to do since he had to actually back off to keep from averaging less than 13.0. What really worries me is he might replace me as fastest SRT at Bristol.... (excepting the Viper car...though most cant drive and I easily beat them)..
