I've been really getting back into specialized fuel management tuning again. These NHRA Pro Stock Bikes are very tempermental on tuning. Vroom Racing is doing very well. The bike is running quicker and quicker. They are currently in 8th in points with one race to go before the count down to the NHRA Pro Stock Bike Championship.
Hope Gains Momentum during Western Swing David Hope, rider of the Mohegan Sun/Vroom racing Buell, is anxious to clinch a spot and begin his first journey into the Countdown to One at the upcoming Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals Aug. 12-15 in Brainerd, MN. This will be the final race to determine the Top Ten riders of the Pro Stock Motorcycle Class. “David and John Hammock have definitely done a great job this year," said Mohegan Sun/Vroom Racing team manager Brian Bozsum. “During the Western Swing David had a winning total of four rounds and he has put us in a great position going into Brainerd in two weeksâ€. “David is becoming one of the best riders in the class and the more rounds he goes the better he becomes, it’s just a matter of time before he has a “Wally†sitting on his deskâ€. “Put this winning attitude along with the consistent engine performance John is making; I truly believe that we can win the Countdown†said Bozsum. “With one race to go, the Countdown playoffs scenario gives us a clearer picture of where we sit going into Brainerdâ€. “David has a 102-point lead over Shawn Gann and is currently in eighth-place. We feel that we’re in a safe position but you just never know what can happen on a race weekendâ€. “We’re like kids in a candy store though; the NHRA has made the Countdown so exciting! “We need to secure our Countdown spot in Brainerd and then take care of business during the Countdownâ€. “We’ve qualified for every event this season and if that trend continues we should be in it to win it†said Bozsum. “We have an opportunity to be in the biggest show of the year, the NHRA Full Throttle Countdownâ€, said David Hope. “We’ve had such a great year so far and I’m really excited about the opportunity and chance to run for the Countdown to the Championshipâ€, said Hope. “The whole team has worked so hard all year and it’s great to see the huge reward at the end. Once the Countdown begins a new season begins, it’s a great opportunity for a team like ours. We’ve shown all year that we can be consistent on a race weekend and on race day.
