What are the thoughts/opinions on how bad the new Chally SRT8 will depreciate when compared to the other SRT8's? I've been pondering trading my Jeep for a Chally. I love my Jeep, I would only trade because the Chally will turn more heads & my hold it's value better. Not having AWD will be a big problem though.

It'll be worth 50% of MSRP in 24 months.

What are the projected #s annually? The jeeps are really depreciating more than I thought, especially considering they make less than 3000 per year.
Fun factor is a must and I think the jeep beats the challenger, but good luck with it.

:shok:Are you joking? That would be as bad/worse than the Jeep.
I don't disagree, like I said I love the Jeep. I get almost zero looks/compliments w/the Jeep. I'm willing to bet the Chally would get much more. My '70 Charger got tons, people would walk up to me everywhere I went. The one fun factor w/the Chally is the 2wd, & being able to burn a little rubber. :)

I find most car guys will notice the Jeep around here, but people not in the know....well, don't know. The Challenger is getting a lot of looks from everyone. In a couple years when there's a lot more on the road, probably not as much. As for resale value, unless you hold on to it for 20-40 years and keep it mint....oh and don't drive it lol....you'll make money on it as it IS a future collector's car. But, it'll depreciate in a hurry as a daily driver.

the value is going to drop big time soon as you leave the lot.$42,000 now,24 months later,i would guess $27,000.

OK, so the drop will be identical to the Jeep. Now the Jeep is looking better, the AWD is vital in the winter. But those Challies are so sweet! Argh.............

I get tons of compliments on my jeep from all different walks of life. Young kids to elderly women. I love it. Of course mine doesn't sound quite the same anymore...

In my opinion it'll fall in price just like all the other SRT8s, maybe more so in a few years as they start pumping them out. Imo keep the Jeep, those things are BAD AZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 100% with Jmatt and Cheatek. They'll take a complete shit just like all the other SRTs. If your gonna buy one enjoy it for what it is, beat the hell out of it and write it off.

I'm keeping the Jeep for now. Chrysler is replacing my wheels due to corrosion under the clear. My Jeep is like new w/8800 miles, so I'd be trading a near new for new & losing my butt. I'd prefer to keep the Jeep, & add to the stable. I'm re-restoring my '70, so that might keep me busy.
