I just worked on a photo shoot yesterday with the new SRT Challenger! When I got called in to work, the guys told me it was some special "new" car or something. Boy was I surprised to show up at work and find out that it was the new Challenger! We were at a remote airport in So. Cal. and did alot of performance shots. Flat out running it, slalom driving and smoking the tires in circles. So much so that tires were beyond the radial threading and ready to pop!

Very nice looking ride down to the SRT8 badge on the rear lip spoiler! Sounds just like a Charger, I would say, with that fart between shifting, if ya know what I mean.

Got some pics I snuck, but had to sign a release and liability waivers to not leak any information. Those that are on the list for one, I am jeolous! Haha!

Been here since everyone moved. Just haven't posted or replied at all. Dude, that Challenger is pretty sick! Of course we had a so called "precision driver" and he was good. I'll give him that. He threw that thing around quite a bit. It was awesome, to say the least!

ya know, you could "accidently" leave the camera out somewhere, so that another member "might" find it and post the pics without your knowledge..... hehehehe sounds like a good day!!

Can you tell us how much you like it as a percentage of the concept car we've been looking at for over a year?

I know, I know. I knew I'd get roasted about the pics. Like I said, I could only sneak some in while around the set. They aren't the best but maybe I could...hmmmm. Anyways, couldn't help but mention it to my forum brothers.

It's an awesome looking ride, no doubt! What we were shooting was the production version of the SRT8 Challenger, photographed for the dealer brochures. I would say it looks very much like the concept version. Alcoa forged 20's, different color stitching on the seats, a little carbon fiber here and there, square exhaust tips, just a hot looking ride altogether.

    Ted,
Yea it was a pretty good day at work. I normally work on commercials and we do it all from Pepsi to cars. Most time, it's some boring minivan or a Tahoe or something. I got a call the day before asking if I wanted to do a photo shoot this Saturday. Needless to say, I took the job, then found out it was the Challenger! On comes my SRT jacket of course! It was pretty cool!

    Dave,
I couldn't really tell if they were operational or not and did not ask. We have to maintain a little level of proffesionalism so I didn't show how excited I really was. I will say that you guys are lucky B******* to have one on order! It's a sick looking ride! I don't get excited when I see celebrities or anything like that. I did with this vehicle! Haha!

Wow, awesome man. Don't put yourself at risk, keep those pics under wraps, much as we'd all love to see them.

But tell us, what did the interior look like? Similar to the current LX interiors? Or more like the concept?

I can't really say what the interior looked like as opposed to the concept vehicles because I never got a close look at the concepts. It looked nice, but thats not saying much. I liked the stitching on the black leather seats w/the suede inserts. Kinda did look similar to the Lx platforms now that I think about it, but with an updated twist, of course. Yea, I know, lame description but as another just mentioned, everyone will see them soon! It's not like it's years away anymore, ya-know? And thanks guys for understanding my position. :)

i predict in the next 4 or 5 days someone will see this car and not have a job riding on it and info will start to leak our from somewhere. The atomic bomb wasnt this far under wraps.
