At the Mopar Mile High Nationals in Denver last month, Mopar unveiled the Drag Pack Challengers. The first two were driven by Don Garlits and Judy Lilly. I am now proud to officially announce that the cars were running on AFCO T2 double adjustable shocks supplied by me at www.streetracetech.com in conjunction with AFCO Racing. Yes - exactly the same suspension being sold to forum members here is what Mopar picked to run on their race cars for the world unveiling of the drag cars! We couldn't be more proud than having been selected as the suspension for the world unveiling. I'm pretty pumped that Don Garlits drove a car with suspension I supplied!!! Here's some photos of the cars. You can't see the shocks, but you can see the AFCO stickers they were running to acknowledge the suspension:
<sniff sniff> Our baby boy has grown up. <sniff sniff> It was just yesterday when Matt was telling us of his idea to make true coil overs for our sleds, now his product is a BIG time contender. <sniff sniff> We are so VERY PROUD of you Matt. Congrats.
You're supposed to send us all copies of the signed pic with Don Garlits sitting in the Challenger that you got. You can photochop our names in there instead of yours. haha "Thanks for all the help Quick, Don Garlits". Or "Thanks Quick, couldn't have done it without you. Don Garlits"
LOL. No. In the racing world, for racing suspension the AFCO name would be much more valuable than Mopar. Each drag car gets a book that describes the setup of the two original cars. Including - the AFCO coilovers from StreetRaceTech. I'd be shocked (lol - I made a pun) if we didn't put these coilovers on 90 out of 100 drag pack cars.
