Just got an email from them saying they have a Challenger in stock. I was there this morning but did not go inside since I didn't know they had one. I might check it out this weekend... if it is still there then
Well, went by there today. They have the orange one inside their show room (not sure where the silver one is, maybe sold?). The guy was joking: $50 to see it It is one sweet ride. Very very nice car. I did not stay too long because I never feel relaxed inside a car dealer ship. All these sales people just make me nervous. So didn't take the time to really admire it. They want $29k over and I think there was one guy sitting at a table trying to negotiate them down. Usually I hate when dealers do that. But in these times I guess they can use every buck extra that they get. Kind of funny if you think about some guy might pay $70k for it and another might buy a Charger SRT8 for $37k. And it is basically the same car... But I guess you won't be as cool as the Chally guy. Wonder how many SE and RTs they will sell in the upcoming years and if my Magnum will be a rarer sight than a Chally. Does anyone know if they plan to produce them in around the same numbers as the Magnums? Maybe in 2 or 3 years one can buy a used Challenger SRT8 for below $30k. Rather have 2 Mopars than one expensive stupid German car
I'm waiting/hoping for the gas crunch to kick in with the challys. Great cars, but I can't conceive of paying nearly double for one just to say I have one. So I'm boycottin challengers until I can talk about buying one... Just wondering if they're going to cut production before they start having trouble moving them.
