I understand they have been having problems with the Challenger R/T with the MDS system that come with the auto trans. Has this been resolved yet?
can you post up some links to where you have seen problems with MDS? Its been around for a while now and I have never had issue with it as I mentioned in a previous thread.
hm, i haven't seen that anywhere else, but it certainly seems like its an issue. Even says it is a challenger specific issue, 5.7 at that. I guess that just means people should stick to the 6.4
Yes just a nother reason to go with the top dog. But I think you might be ok with a R/T with 6 spd. transmission. It seems to be the automatic R/T's having this problem. I have never seen a topic that is so long in length.
I don't care about the stupid Hellcat...probably the reason Dodge hasn't done the SRT-4 Dart, is 'cause they are too busy working on this dumb ol' car. :dumb:
Those GT-500 are expensive too. I would be happy with a Mustang GT with 3.73 rear end with 6 spd. manual trans. That car was quick enough. Figure can get it for $38,000 - $42,000 depending on how I order it. But look out for 2015 as this mustang has done away with the solid live rear axle so maybe the car will ride and handle better. At least you will have more engine choices in 2015 and V8 choices.
I hope you're not expecting the Hellcat to be inexpensive! You are already looking in the $50k neighborhood for and SRT Challenger. I am willing to bet you will be in the $60-70k neighborhood to get into a Hellcat...
Well at one point you could get a Yellow Jacket here off the floor for $40,000. But I do prefer to factory order my cars. 60,000+ is alot of $$$ to spend on a car. By then the new Mustang will be out.
