I am hoping for Techco's sake that what they are telling us (the customers) is true. I personally don't think the potential of their product has been realized yet.
Well as the purchaser of the "FCKED up and basically junk " Mondello heads i'm going to state a few things and ask for some others. These heads were sold as 1st gen stage 3 Mondello heads that had been repaired. Stage 3 heads are/were sold with coatings. They heads i recieved had all coatings removed. The number #3 chamber has been repaired and looks to be done with care. So I now have to get them coated myself since i want to use spray. Upon further inspection several valve seals were split. So now I figure its better to replace them all. Then I read this thread..... I'm beginning to be really concerned about the quality of these heads and would like all involved in them to post up what they know about them. I'd like to see the work orders or invoices. I'd like to know exactly what work was preformed on these heads. Eric, Steve and Bret if you guys could help me out with these requests I'd appreciate it. Thanks Tony
These heads are good man trust me. Steve saw them after they got repaired and he even said they looked good. He could chime in, but as far as the coating my guess is they took it off to inspect the heads, not really sure. I do have the repair invoice if you would like it. With out a doubt these heads will get you into the low 12's n/a as they made my 5000pd Jeep run 12.3's. Mondello does a good product, I simply stated my story to show what is happening with my build. I am, again, no way bashing mondello as I wanted to run the new wet flow design, but ended up running a complete techco longblock. Any more questions feel free to let me know. Thanks
Techco As far as " lets wait and see what happens with TECHCO"? does it matter at this point? they have probably a dozen or so un finished builds waiting for answers! as a company owner myself, I know if I don't return calls on ongoing projects! It is over! and thats the case here, we can all see the writing on the wall, TECHCO is finished! Moving is not a excuse to not return calls, I feel for the members who have un finished builds with this failed company! it is a shame that the owners have not had the common courtesy, to be honest and courageous enough to respond with a statement letting the consumer know its over and to move on! You have any information to substantiate that? From what I can see something is going on right? Seems that Cam is working on finishing some cars. As far as I know the car owners haven't paid Cam any money. I don't know for sure, but I don't think Cam can afford to do that kind of work pro-bono or on a wish and a prayer of getting paid by "this failed company". Do you? Obviously something happened and maybe it's all bad but they didn't just dissappear in the middle of the night.
FYI, companies who don't return calls, have manufacturing problems, have numerous newly bought units back up 4 sale just after purchase and install? hiring a forum member with a great reputation to conclude a few late and problematic builds? (just a band aid, what about the issues on the East Coast? I know Cam is good, can he be in 2 -3 places at one time?) this doesn't sound like a sound company. And who in their right mind would buy a TECHCO after all the scary information on these forums? As far as substantiating any thing I've posted, just read the forums on this board and a couple others, I don't have to, testimony from the members does, and this is exactly what these forums are for! BTW, I'm a GSM survivor! it looks like TECHCO is right behind them. Just my 2 cents!
Just curious if you've personally experienced any of the above with Techo? "conclude a few late and problematic builds". You make that sound like these are just a couple of a large number of late and problematic builds. I wasn't aware of that. Do you have some info on that? Techo was never on the East Coast. Are there a bunch of issues over there too? Your point? So you're just recaping... why? Oh, I don't know. Seemed like GSM just took a lot of people's money and parts and cars and just ran. This doesn't seem to be exactly the same. Things certainly look pretty bad. I'm not arguing any side of the issue and I don't have a dog in this either. I'm just trying to figure out what your stake in all this is? Or are you just sort of putting an exclamation point on your view on all this.
Tony Bret from Mondello does not come on to any car forums. What you have are Stage 3cryogenic treated heads with new PAC nitrided race springs. Stage1-3 get the same port and valve job in the 1st generation head offering. The Stages were the options such as coatings and cryogenics. Although Eric sold them to you after they were repaired. If not for the new valves i couldnt tell which cylinder had been damaged. If you want them coated by Mondello I believe it is around 150-175. No. Not supporting Techo. I'll assure you I'm completely neutral. I don't know Techo and have had no dealings with them. I will enlighten you though that our forum is a bit different than all the others. We try to stick with facts and first party information here rather than hearsay and innuendo. We also don't censor posts on either side of issues provided they are factual and presented with some amount of apropo. We do not allow bashing (of members or vendors) for the sake of bashing, throwing fuel on the fire, or just because someone wants to be part of the pile-on mob. You will note that I RESPONDED to your post and asked you a couple of questions and implied a couple of others. I'll be a bit more direct. Do you have any dealings/issues with Techo? Do you personally have any (credible) information to add? If not, then tell me what your point is in making your posts (on multiple forums)? We do have a number of members here who do have issues with Techo. They are free to (and have) post anything they want to about that. I'm just curious what your interest in this is? There are a lot of posts on here with "me too", "I think that stinks", but your's just comes across as being a bit different. Maybe it's just me.
I have my car in at BMC Performance, swapping in a CMW 426 and a Techco S/C/. Lisa emailed me early in the morning to tell me that although Carlos had shipped my 10 PSI pulley a week before they vanished, he neglected to send the adapter than accpets the ATI Superbalancer, rather than the stock balancer......UH-OH! Hopefully BT (Billet Technology) will be coming to the rescue here shortly!! YAY!:usflag:
Quick,I lost a Intake Manifld that would fit the Arrington 90MM TB I bought, the inatke sale was contingent on the seller recieving a TECHCO he bought, he never recieved the TECHCO, and I never recieved the Intake! Yes, this TECHCO thing has wasted a month of my time! I have not posted on multible forums, the people I know who are having first hand issues w/TECHCO. Don't contribute to the forums, they are big business owners my Firestop Contracting Business does work for. As far as what is my "point" I've made that clear! read my post again. if all you lost was an intake manifold that you did not get from someone else who is waiting on a techco supercharger then consider yourself lucky. there are alot of people who are out parts and money.
