Well I got it and installed it here is my story lol:bye: Now for the story,I have a 06 SRT8 Magnum with the Carbon by design's hood, this hood has the ram in it but does not have duct work. I installed the Charger SRT8 plastic duct work and had no problems. When this brace I closed the hood and the problems started lol. Basically the plastic duct work was about 1 1/2 inch too long now. I cut off 2 inches of the part of the duct that slides into the ram. I then got another problem and that was that the tabs in the front of the plastic duct work were too long to side the duct work into the cut out in the hood. I cut them off and it slid right in. But now I had another problem and that was how was I going to now secure the front part of the plastic duct work? The only thing I could think of was to secure the back 3 screws to hold it in place. Now all the parts I used were from Ace hardware and they are all stainless steel. Anyway I used a 2 inch long quarter twenty screw 4 washers 2 bolts and 1 lock tight bolt per side. Once the rear was secured I placed a large rubber grommet in place to hold the front where I wanted it and screwed thru the hood and into the bottom of plastic of the duct. I removed the duct, placed a washer on a screw and painted them black. Once dry I slid the screw and washer thru the inside of the plastic duct. I then installed another washer and nut to hold it in place. I then put another bolt and washer and while holding them installed the plastic duct into the holes I made in the hood. This held the front in peace of the duct in place while I re-secured the rear. In the below pictures you will see that I also had to install a 1 inch rubber grommet and had to use a 1 1/2 inch screw because of the gap from cutting and moving the duct forward 2 inches. I then went back to the front of the duct and installed a washer and locking bolt in. So that what I did. Looks ok not great but I will figure something to make it perfect hopefully lol.
Hey Claude, mind if I ask ya a favor. I'd luv to read this post, but how about shrinking the damn pic's down so we don't have to spend three hours scrolling. Thanks
