We installed a line lock on Bryan's car today and of course he had to try it out! Here are the pics I snapped ... I even got out the good camera!! :)

It allows you to lock the front brakes without engaging the rear brakes. Without a line lock, if you do a burnout by holding the brakes a bit while you hit the gas, your rear brakes are engaging while your tires are spinning, which isn't a great thing for them if you do it a lot.

To use the line lock, you press the brake pedal in as far as you can, then flip the line lock switch "on". Then let off the brake pedal and your front brakes are locked and your rears are not. You then can apply the gas and spin the tires as much as you need/want, and then flip the switch off when you're ready to release the front brakes and roll out of the burnout.

So, basically you can do a burnout without hurting your rear brakes, and your tires spin way more freely and make lots of smoke. For track use, this is a great way to do a steady burnout in the water box.

haha, Or you can put on a show at the shop every day at closing time :woot:

Note: a line lock will not save any rubber when doing burnouts.
