    Didn't do so well in 4th grade math did you buddy? I guess medicine is the proper career field for you...just not nursing...they require math for dose calculation! If you WERE a nurse, you'd have more confirmed kills than I do as a SEAL!! :beerchug:

    Sounds about right. One second would be 9-10 car lengths at 108mph. One car length is more like 1-1.5 car lengths based on the MPH and car length (roughly 16 feet).

    Bro, I meant in LOOKS!! Those wheels, that stance, shaved ... very, very sweet! And the fact that you can back it up with the blower is just the icing on Ryan's sweaty man-boob cakes! lol

    It's Mr. Wizard and don't question him, he's always right. :whistle:

    1 mile = 5280 feet
    108 miles per hour = (108 * 5280) = 570240 feet per hour
    1 hour = 60 minutes
    570240 feet per hour = (570240/60) = 9504 feet per minute
    1 minute = 60 seconds
    9504 feet per minute = (9504/60) = 158.4 feet per second

    Approximately 158' in 1 second.

    I went the easy route for my calculation:

    Google!

    Just kidding... here's my calculation:

    1 mile = 5280 feet
    At 100 mph, you travel 528,000 feet
    So:
    100mph=528,000 ft/hr (divided by 60 minutes) =
    100mph=8800 ft/minute (divided by seconds) =
    100mph=146.6 ft/second

    So, yeah, Dave, Momo confirms your findings.

    So, given a car length of 16 feet...

    1 second is equal to 9.16 car lengths at 100 mph (146.6 ft/sec divided by 16 feet).

    1 car length at 100 mph is therefore equal to... .152 seconds. (9.16 car lengths divided by 60 seconds OR .152 x 60 = 9.12 --- I'm rounding numbers).

    I think a lot of the beauty of the Vortech kit is being lost in "The Vortech tune isn't very high end performance based". When you buy the kit and get it installed, the tune they send you gets the car running and you can actually get into boost! The car runs great and is powerful! On the other side of the fence (in the Mustang World) the tunes are just good enough to get the car running to get it to a custom dyno tune, they are tunes that are not meant for the driver to drive on for lengths of time like these Charger kits. I would never have imagined seeing a supercharger out of the box and get 2000+ miles on the canned tune..thats crazy!! SO out of the box these kits are very good IMO.

    Like it has been said a car length for a 4k lb vehicle is not an easy task by no means. You guys need to remember that with a Procharger or the Roots/Twin Screw you will STILL need a custom tune to see its full potential. NO s/c wil give you a performance heavy tune out of the box, its impossible.

    Google is just too easy. Do that all the time and you'll fall down when you get out of your chair because you forgot how to walk.

    Google: "108 mph in feet per second"
    Answer: 108 mph = 158.4 feet per second

    But where's the satisfaction in that? My woods are made out of persimmon and I shave with a straight razor.

    (ok, I can't help myself, I'll stop after this one... I promise) ... and I've never said "but... but... I lost traction" :towel::rofl:

    I didn't use google, damnit!

    And...

    I'm not making excuses... the results are the results... but I am however providing plausible reasons.

    whoa.... Quantum Physics of Ricerdom has now been defined!

    Good show guys! We have made history today, must like E=MC^2 or even that particle thingamuchingus they have that is supposed to be a doomsday device....

    No shit he is faster he has a blower with a pully and tune... no need for excuses on either side, or trying to figure out your 1/4 mile time from roll races.... ROLL RACES!

    Last I checked these are chargers not supras but hey I could be wrong

    This was more of a TEST....NOT a race! I would hardly call 8 mph a REAL roll.

    We saw that. Reversing your calculation doesn't verify it (and you weren't picking on Momo).

    You are saying that the results in your super scientific test showed Momo having about a 0.15 second edge in the 1/4. Time for the track now. I'm pretty sure Mrs. Momo said no one is allowed to touch the camcorder that the stork brought with the baby so Jason will have to work the camera while you drive.

    Wow, I guess I was 100% wrong. Growing up I was always told that a car length was a second, no wonder my buddies and their dads had such fast cars. It was all bad math!

    Mains is my idol. Didn't think it would take this long for him to get here. Like blood in the water, the EQ threads always provide a veritable potpurrie of ball busting opportunities. :D

    It's just that when you're a kid there's no way you can afford 1 second worth of mods :grin:
