I got a whole underhood kit of BT bling this spring...

And my one ongoing problem is that the cap on the washer fluid reservoir will not stay shut. Seems to close firmly, but after just a few minutes of driving or whatever, it is popped back open.

It feels a little stiff when trying to hinge it, so maybe there is some tension there. I have loosened the set screw to see if a little play might help... but it doesn't. Was thinking of shaving down the plastic in that area, too.

But, I figured I'd ask for any advice on keeping that thing shut, first...

    Thanks!

have you tried closing it, and then tightening the screw to keep it from moving around?

    that has worked for me.

I have the same problem on the 300. Not the Charger, just the 300.

Hmm... wonder what could be different on the 300?!?

I did put the cap on - then tighten the screw. Not sure what it could be.

I went and looked... Sure enough, there was interference. I had to have tightened the screw with the cap open, as it just won't go in with the cap closed. I tightened it with the cap closed, noted the position of the set screw's impression on the plastic, and began filing.

It was probably close to 2mm away from clearing, which would mean that if BT moved the set screw, they'd have to make the arm thicker since you would run out of material before the screw was low enough.

    Thanks again.

Thanks guys for helping him out. Being that the plastic is probably made by an injected molding process there will be some variances between each bottle. We sometimes have an issue plastic radio/A/C knobs as well..

    Thanks..
