I know this has been discussed before, but I don't want to waste time running to the dealership for TSB's and still not be satified. So, what is the best fix. Also, is anyone aware of an aftermarket rotor for our trucks that is SLOTTED ONLY?
I too was tired of the squeel and got the Centric pads from Zeckhausen, he now has stop tech slotted rotors for the jeep. Some like the satisfied pads. You will lose some bite getting rid of the stock pads but the squeel will be gone. I for one will be ditching the Centric pads for the Satisfied GS6 pads which are much better so get those and then the slotted rotors from Zeckhausen. Builder Bill has the GS6 pads and loves them and you know how hard it is to impress that guy-LOL http://www.zeckhausen.com/Jeep/SRT8.htm
Love your ricer pic show! You should add the "crop-duster just crashed into my ass" wing on the back! ya he's gonna need all the rear downforce he can get on that FWD! I've run Hawk, Wilwood, and EBC pads on other cars, EBC greens seem to be pretty quiet, but different apps. don't always have the same results.
Hawks are good I've used them before on another ride but most will agree the GS6 pads are the way to go. I'm getting the R1 Concept slotted and drilled rotors with the GS6 pads next time around
I run the GS6 and am very "satisfied" with them. The stopping power is much better than Centrics and the dust is more than half of the stock pads.
Well I did some more research and have heard issues with the GS5/GS6 pads combined with the R1 rotors but the DiscItalia combined with the GS6 pads seem to be working for bill and GCulver with no issues
