I think that at this point, between the stock rotors, the Brembo big brake upgrade, the discitalia's, the GS, the Zeckhausen, and the R1 rotors, there are enough options out there for people to have developed some sort of loyalty.

So what is everyone's opinion as far as the best rotor for our trucks? I'm thinking combined value and performance here, not just the most money you can spend on new rotors. I can tell you that from my perspective as a new dad (7 weeks old as of yesterday) with a wife who isn't working, the recent deals on R1 rotors were too good to pass up, even though I know BuilderBill is going to yell at me for not going with the discitalia's!

What do you all think, and especially for those of you with the R1's, how are they holding up / through how many miles? I likely won't put mine on for a few thousand miles, and will be taking Bill's advice with the GS6 pads, wish me luck with the squealing!

Congrats again on the latest addition Steve. I think we need someone to test all of the various setups and report back. Too steep for me to spend that cash, but I'm sure someone might do it or possibly do a few. Any takers lol?

interesting that you have decided to stay with the stock rotors considering all of your other mods Scott, but I do have to say that the stopping power of the stockers is fantastic. I have just had it with the TSB's (I've had the truck in 4 times to the dealer for squealing had the shims applied, taken off, and have tried home remedies as well!) and all the noise from the stockers, plus I think the look of the drilled / slotted rotors is appealing. Thanks for the input!

I know DiscItalia are a perfect fit since they are the stock rotors redone, but from what I have read the R1's are the shiznit. I have the stock rotors and the Centric pads from Z's but to be honest I'm not that impressed with them, nothing will probably stop better than the stock pads but that darn squeel was just to ghetto for me, maybe if I step up to Z's rotors , R1's or DiscItalia I will get all new four pads

the R1's (I believe) are also the stockers, just drilled / slotted and zinc'ed. . . correct me if I'm wrong. . . and the price on them prior to the increase was just too good to pass on ($500 for all 4, incl. shipping!)
