There will always be the poor and there will always be the homeless.

Obama is the elected president... let it be. I for one voted for McCain but he lost so not much anyone can do.

A Presidential candidate receives the most campaign contributions in the history of our great country, most $5, $10 and $20 at a time and vows to help rebuild the middle class he's labeled a socialist.

A Presidential candidate receives millions of dollars from Wall Street and Oil Companies and vows to cut taxes, reduce government intervention so that big business can thrive and literally bankrupt this country and he's labeled a conservative?

    I'm confused.

And for the record I think the title of this thread is bullshit. Hate the politics, hate the policies and even hate characteristics of the man and let's leave it at that.

Maybe people are whining because some people are afraid we are heading for socialism. Perhaps people who have worked hard all their lives and have accumulated a little wealth are concerned that the new president said he was going to redistribute that wealth to others. Perhaps some are concerned that Oboma got elected because the liberal press filtered the truth. I sill support the president, but I will not support socialism. I will not support doing away with tax benefits that encourage retirement programs such at 401 K. I think it is very important that we express our feeling and our beliefs in a constructive manner so our representitives know how we feel. Hopefully they will react accordingly.

Sorry, but their is no way Oboma raised over $600,000,000.00 from individual supporteds at $5, $10, and $20 a click.

How can you support a guy who has run this country into the ground while all his friends are now 10 times a wealthy as before he went into office?

Stand by Bush, if it was the 1950's the prick would be shot for treason.

Lets not forget after 9/11 he tried to sell the ports to an Arab company, I mean come on can he be any dumber?

I dont support Obama nor would have I supported Mcain, we were screwed no matter which one took office.

President Elect Obama didn't do away with your 401K, current President Bush's economic policies did by devaluing the DIA by 40%. I saw this coming 8 months ago and moved my accounts into guaranteed interest options. Also, there is nothing in the proposed tax changes by the Democratic party that will impact your 401K either. Now if you're like me and your tax bracket was specifically mentioned (over $250K) you're already taking steps to move money into other tax shelters. There are plenty of legal ways to reduce your tax burden and no one making over $250K is sweating it.

As for your comment regarding his campaign contributions, where do you get your facts? Here's where I get mine.

Now go compare this to McCain's campaign and you'll see a stark difference.

he was talking about your quote on the $5, $10, $15, etc.

you just like many obama supports forget that individual donations (especially almost $600mil) are never sent in by people like you and i. now, if youre a weirdo like my grandmother is with the church, you may have sent in a good chunk of your income to the party of your choice....maybe around 1k or more.

how much did oprah give? $10 mil? not to mention the fundraisers? how much did the special interests? lol, dude if youre trying to defend the money contributions, youre in a losing battle. imho, it doesnt matter how much he got, it just matters that he is now in office and who exactly does he owe that to? the media? special interests? oprah? haha, who really cares as long as he doesnt open up this country to an attack.

Here are the top contributors to the Obama campaign. If I were a member of the GOP faithful I'd immediately start boycotting these companies. However after reading the comments in many of these anti-Obama threads most of you appear to be boycotting colleges, higher learning and reading in general anyway. Try to do a little fact checking prior to posting as it can help you at least appear educated and informed. Rather than regurgitating Rush Limbaugh's last radio show.

You know that being called a ditto head is not a compliment. It simply means you can't think for yourself, so whatever Rush says you say "ditto that".

    University of California $909,283
    Goldman Sachs $874,207
    Harvard University $717,230
    Microsoft Corp $714,108
    Google Inc $701,099
    JPMorgan Chase & Co $581,460
    Citigroup Inc $581,216
    National Amusements Inc $543,859
    Time Warner $508,148
    Sidley Austin LLP $492,445
    Stanford University $481,199
    Skadden, Arps et al $473,424
    Wilmerhale Llp $466,679
    UBS AG $454,795
    Latham & Watkins $426,924
    Columbia University $426,516
    Morgan Stanley $425,102
    IBM Corp $415,196
    University of Chicago $414,555
    US Government $400,819

Nobody is more hopeful then I am that I am totally wrong about Obama. I hope he impresses the shit out of me and that he puts my foot right in my mouth for thinking what I do about what he will do to us.

As unhappy as I am that he is elected, as has been said, theres nothing we can do about it. I say that a bunch of us run in 2012!!! haha

    Here is the bottom line.

Politicians in general tell us what we want to hear and screw us over when we bought into their crap. Doesnt matter the party its the way it works. Sometimes its their fault sometimes its not (they dont have all hte info they need to make the promises they make before they get into office).

I am gonna try to be positive as much as possible. That's what I got.

now, im middle class and have the ability to make more than 150k in my household. that is middle to middle low around the bay area. it may be rich in whatever state you reside....but here youre barely making it.

i call him a socialist because thats exactly what he is about. he wants to take my money and give it to the people that dont work, or are too lazy to find a well paying job. you can label me a capitalist if you want, because that is what why this country is great. i can achieve the American dream, i have that ability....under an obama presidency that dream turns to vapor. you can keep believing in obama though, his practices, his dreams, his desperate want to keep you and your family in the poor house while some family on welfare adds another escalade on 24s to their garage.

lol, dude you really are oblivious to whats going on around you. she bought all her friends plates at many of the fundraisers she threw for obama. in just one of those he netted 3 mil.

i wish you werent so gullible. as i said, i dont care how he got the money. i only care what he does once hes in office....and only time will tell that.
