Sorry to hear this and thank goodness no harm was done to you during the run, on the bright side I have been waiting for a 392 to pop up with a SC. As this may not be so exciting for your bank account it is exciting for me to see the new progress

are you sure? cause they say tr5 on the side. and thats the stock heat range. unless things changed for the 09 and they went even hotter from the factory.

This is a 5.7, they come with a one step wamer plug than the 6.1, so these are a step colder than the stock plugs.

Every sc company who has come out with product will have its bumps and bruises along the way. It is how they react and move forward that will set them apart from the others. TECHCO will not hide anything and we will do what we think is right in the end. We have plenty of hurdles to cross, we will do what we can to get there, deal with the outcomes, educate ourselves, and move forward...hopefully with positive outcomes each time.

When you sc any ride, is it safe? that should be an new thread. there are so many variables which will dictate the outcome.

wow lisa, i am very sorry to hear the news! obviously your safety is the most important thing. do you have any thoughts as to "why"???? boost levels, compression, tune, etc.... really sucks to hear these types of things happening to anyone, especially good people like you. i am sure things will all work out good in the end, but it still hurts to see this kind of stuff! good luck with you new "project"!!! :D

Well the upside of this is that we will have a new competitor for "World's Fastest Challenger"....isntead of just Fastest 5.7 Challenger

That is sad news Lisa, but no doubt the Techco team will be working with you to get your baby back on the track!! I’ll be looking forward to hearing that joy in your messages again about the progress of your new motor.

I would like to add that no mod is "safe" you can not just slap it on and expect NO issues.

SC's across the board have been on cars and those cars fail.

Now when you really break it down the design of a positive displacement blower is FAR from new. What it produces is FAR from a new product. Techco, Whipple, and KB merely redesign the runners to fit the car. THAT in itself would NOT CAUSE engine failure. The failure comes from design flaws within the motor itself, condition of motor, driver, and tuning. NOT the product manufacture.

I have blown up motors on procharger systems does that mean its prochargers fault? Nope. I have blown up motors on NOS systems, ZEX systems and home brew kits, is that their faults? NOPE, each motor gave up because of either design flaws in the pistons themselves, or poor tuning.

Do not crucify a company because of YOUR lack of knowledge (not directed to Carlos who I quoted this is a general statement)

I agree with everything the Mains says....

ask any performance modder out there....your GOING to break stuff....if your not ready to do so...spend your money on paint and carbon fiber and pretty things that are gonna look good....

I am more familiar with the off roaders that travel with tools cause they EXPECT to break things....then fix em....not complain that the truck couldn't handle doing something it was never meant to do hahahaha

and lastly...i forget if it was said....

you gotta blow some motors before you know what they can take :) lol....Lisa doing it (while unfortunate for her) is good for us because she can break it down at her shop...pin point the issue...then work with the Techco guys to get it resolved to make everyone better off :)
