BMC: New Product! Moroso 11-Qt Aluminum Drag/Road Race Oil Pan!

    We have had these for a little while now for the Rubbel Challenger build and realized we never got a chance to post about them.

    Moroso has released a sweet new Aluminum Oil Pan for the 5.7/6.1L Late Model Hemi Engine. This pan is capable of holding 11 Quarts of oil and is fully baffled for oil control and slosh prevention during racing or spirited driving. There is also a built in fitting for an oil temp gauge as well as a supercharger/turbocharger oil line fitting. As always the quality is top notch, and I know any of you that have our Moroso Coolant Tanks or Valve Covers can attest to that.

    Engine Application: Dodge 5.7L-6.1L HEMI

    * Designed for Chrysler 5.7/6.1 based engines In the Chrysler LX Series platform, which Includes 300C, Challenger, Charger and Magnum

By preventing the crankshaft from "sloshing" in oil, frictional losses known as "windage" are greatly reduced. In fact, Moroso was the first to use an engine dynamometer to test oil pan designs. We even developed see-through pans and used video cameras and strobe lights to track this oil system phenomena.
