Well see how mine do, I installed the KOOKs supplied gaskets with the RTV hi temp and let them dry over night, Versus the bolt them up and run it that day mode.
So far so good, Im not looking forward to swapping out gaskets on the car.
That would suck really bad, Can you say "Bloody Knuckles".

    I second that.

If memory serves me correct (and I am old lol), I have the Kooks gaskets and have for over two years with no issues.

    Good luck.

Maybe some installers are not installing the gaskets or tightening the bolts in the correct pattern then.

I did mine in a sequence like you do the head bolts or anything for that matter.
Time will tell. I got my fingers crossed.

Not to scare anyone but Bob at SVS who discovered the leak said they were installed correctly. They had been installed the day before it was started I believe.

One side wasn't leaking by Josh at HHP told me they had a tendency to blow out after 6 months and the car would drive crappy. That made me get the other gasket changed.

I also heard the gaskets supplied by Kooks changed in the last year so that might explain why some have had better luck in the past with the Kooks gaskets (including the guy who initially put the headers on my car).

I put Kooks headers on my 05 Corvette, and also used the stock gaskets. Problem is also known on Corvette forums. Haven't had a problem. Used ARP bolts.

In the modular Mustang world, BBK, Kooks, and Bassani all have crappy gaskets. I've installed numerous sets of LTs in Mustangs and after my personal gasket blowouts, I refused to install any other gasket beside the Ford OEM MLS gaskets. Guess its the same way for Dodge. DCX spent a lot more $$$$ researching gaskets than kooks probably spend R&D'ing the headers themselves. I trust them Dodge (and Ford :D) when it comes to head and exhaust gaskets...

Bassani is the worst! they supply SAE hardware when the ford uses Metric hardware... someone went to bolt up my Bassani OR pipe on my truck, the SAE nuts for the pipe stripped out my stock Manifold studs... and the studs are pressed in... so i had to buy new manifolds... what a PITA...
