This Evo decided to turn up his boost but was back firing so bad after he passed me, he gave up and fell back in line where he belonged. Ha Ha! You might be able to see the smoke behind me. The track got black flagged for somebody in the grass that needed to be towed off when I reached the stop/finish. Also, no music just the sweet sound of Hemi, camera mounted above exhaust.

double thanks for not fouling it up with music. Best music was resonance of exhaust.

keep those rpm's up in the turns and wot on the way out into the long straight, you'll come out of it faster and cut some ET!!!!!

No problem on the music but sometimes I have to put music in to kill the wind noise and I know we all don't listen to the same types of music. This location though, obviously doesn't need it. Got to love headers and exhaust.

George, have you tried putting 5000# into a corner, there is a little bit of plowing going on? Sometimes need to lay off the throttle to get around the turn without going off line too much. When I get my new trans there will be some auto sticking going on as I have figured out where I need to be in a lower gear before hitting it.

I do some auto sticking (down shifting under braking) but it don't know if it makes me faster or not. What really helps me is light trail braking. I brake early, lightly and enter the corner with too much speed and light pressure on the brake with great results. Give it a try when the repairs are done. I learned the techinique at a PCA driving school. This is how you need to enter a corner with a rear engine car but it works (with a light touch) on any car. I hate turbo cars .... not really, just their ability to turn up the boost between sessions. Risky but effective.

I said rpms, not speed, shifting would brake you some and keep up the rpms. we have something called the peanut about 70 miles up the road, yes, its a challenge, even with the eibach springs. I don't do it much because its seems like a bunch of wear and tear. I was more harkening back to the SRT ride along in a jeep where the guy kept slapshifting and keeping the rpms up, and, of course, he'd nail it about 60% through the turn so that he was going WOT before he exited. Not a criticism. Of course, he doesn't own that tranny! Its really a big difference when you're driving your own for fun and not
racing for a purse with a sponsor and a parts bin.

Looks like a really fun time.

I am working on it, and it really is a lot of fun even when you break things.

Fabulous noice, roadracing is so much fun and one could just wish for a manual on the course!
