God I love this show! They've been showing older repeats later on Monday nights which is great for someone that's new to it like me.

Hey Tam, what do they mean when they say "Saloon" car? Do they mean a GT type car?? I've gotten better at deciphering their language but some of it still puzzels me, lol! I still don't get "bonnet" and "boot" ... it's hood and trunk knuckleheads, lol!

 

From what I've gathered watching the show, a saloon car is their term for a sedan. The more I watch BBC the more I pick up. Marc assumes I speak "British", "Scottish" and "Irish" because of my heritage, so I have to stay up on these things. :thongue2:

 

Hmmm, don't they refer to that M3 as a saloon car and it's a coupe, oh excuse me, a coupA, lol!

 

yep saloon car means sedan in brit talk.

 

Thanx guys. I just saw on Curtis' London thread some pix of some Bimmers at a dealer and on the front plates one says "M3 Coupe'" on a 2 door and the other says "M3 Saloon" on a 4 door. Now I know, thanx again.
