Anyone used Mahle Pistons before? http://www.mahle.com/ How well do they stock up to the competition?
Theve held up well, Alot of strokers are running the Mahles from awhile back, In the last year theres been alot more options on the table, I had a issue with one Mahle piston but Ive chalked it up to installer error.
Just a rule of thumb I have learned from my mistakes in the past. If you have ask about a piston/rod/head/block it is best not to use them. I wish I followed that route with ModMax back in 2002 when I did my stroker on my mustang. I would have gone a completely different route and saved an ass ton. Typically people will almost brag about what pistons/rods/heads/blocks they use without asking. That is when you know you have found a good product.
Mahle in a N/A application with a good tune will never have any issues.....I would not put big spray on them or heavy boost as they are more brittle than other pistons.....but if your just looking for N/A use I wouldn't shy away.
