Well after staying at DanR's house last night, Chris showed up 3 hours late today and set a new track record at Firebird for of 50 timed runs. Talk about hot lapping. He's back out at Dan's tonight.
50 RUNS!!!!! holy crap, did he even shut the car off???? hahahahaha hope all is going well out there!!!
Yea i know that is crazy that he broke the record. See after a long night he still has the energy to race all day.
The guy was a RACING machine Saturday. dahahahahaha And I thought I was hot lapping. haha Chris was making me dizzy... WOOT.
CB doing good. We drove back to Cali together. Pretty uneventful til the last 40 miles when we left the BP Checkpoint, CB took off like a bat out of hell, so I followed chirping tires through 2nd in the BP station...I get up the hill and see why he was hot tailing it out of there. A Pretty Yellow Mustang GT500 ...As I crest the hill, they are side by side (I'm at about 1xx) and they go...So I catch up and now CB is in front, Yellow behind him.. I leap frog around them and yellow goes around and gets in front of me. I give him some space and slide over one lane and come up on him around 80 and I noticed he's not getting closer, so I look down and I am at 1XX, so I say owe he thinks he doing something, so I let her fly, yellow didn't know what happened... he kept coming around 13X and so I pushed a lil more and I last looked down and was looking at 15X with yellow nowhere in site. Looked in my mirror and OH there is yellow..MUAHAHAHAHAHA Moral of this story, it doesn't matter what trim the SRT8 is in, Sedan (300) or Station Wagon (maggie) if the sedan murdered you, then the Station wagon will just come by and pick up your carcas and kill you again and if the driver is nice will throw you in the back of the "Hearst" and carry your butt to the grave yard. MUAHAHAHAHA
CButler's doing great, He jumped in the caravan with us, Moe, Cam, Ozzie, GS Jay and myself at the 10/85 interchange. As usual less the 2 mins later he was lining up with the Ozzie and disappearing into the night. We had a nice uneventful, lol evening at DansR, BTW thank you Dan for your hospitality. :thumb2: Chris got to the track at like 11 am and proceeded to flog the living sh*t out of his car for 4hrs straight! Every time I looked up there he was, helmet on and a ear to ear grin. Breaks the previous track record of 38 runs by 12 I heard. He wasn't done either, He would of ran all nite. Should of seen us taking the big left hander at the end of the track thats part of the road course. Chris told me he could see the time booth guy waving his arms and tripping out. Needless to say they told us to stop that sh*t. It was Classic. But yeah Tamara, Chris was doing well. :good:
Wow!! Good to hear he's still up to the same stuff. I last had the pleasure of pursuing him back from the Valley of Fire drive, doing OH MY GOD speeds around the twists and turns into the desert sunset. My hard-to-impress brother was in the passenger seat muttering "Wow!" and Marc was holding on for dear life in the backseat. I remember Chris was impressed that I stayed up with him.
I think I am going to get kicked out of this forum very quickly but I will at least get this in. Chris Butler made so many passes at Firebird that his car was dramatically slower late in the day. It was from the weight added by carrying all of those time slips.
