Sounds good John, I'll let you know. A buddy of mine wanted to do it too but we were hoping to go to LS or SP up here instead of all the way down to Fontana so I don't know if he's going, I may be going alone. I gotta see my schedule for next year but I'll keep you informed. Yea no kidding huh stevo, we got it hanging out for all to see! Alright poho, I see you're over 800 now but you're still posting, you said you were calling it a night!! Dude, you might have a problem ... Hahhahahhahahhaaa!!:harhar:
im trying to decide to keep the Inline 6 in the 68 mustang or swap it to a chevy 350 or 327 I have both in storage the only way i can accualy drift my car is on dirt and i wanna be able to do it on asphalt
I remember you talking about this on the OC Nevin, you still haven't decided what to do yet huh?? I know what I'd do, find a Ford 302 out of a late 80s Mustang GT and slap it in there. I think I said that before huh bro, lol! IMO, a Chevy motor in a Ford is just ... :bottom:
yea but i would have to buy it and i already have 2. i wanna use what i have and + i really dont care too much for Fords engines
Totally understand. What about finding an old Camaro?? That would make sense to me. I do have to say imo the Ford 5.0 302 from those cars was a great motor. Built to be modded from the factory with a strong bottom end that allowed big time power adders. I love mine, never a problem with it and I've done everything possible to it, including s/c and NO2 on the stock bottom end. Not trying to start anything just imo. I will say stock it would have been a greeeeeeat drifter. Heck, it was hard to drive it WITHOUT sliding all over the place, lol!!
I just want to bring my car and drag it. I think I will shock some of the instructors there. Yea let me know.
meh hahahaha...i see you were hard at work long after i was in bed...you still had 3 more hours of po hoing to do! what about the new Cammer Crate engine from ford...its only like $10,000+ haha...k:
yea i knw and ive been looking for a camero since i got rid of my 1970 back in 98, tranny and engine were starting to go and we both didnt have the time to fix it, my family rases live stock on the side. so we sold it to a friend who fixed it and sold it :rip:
you know i think i just might get rid of the single carb and go with 2 just to see what kind of power it will make the car already has a 2.5 exhaust you can clearly see its aftermarket but im not sure what muffler it has but im gonna replace it with probally a flow master, i want a magnaflow but the car needs a little back pressure
John, for the SRT experience you use their cars, not your own. They'll have most all the SRT cars to drive with some modified ones too (I just hope to get to drive a Viper!). I'm wondering, are you talking about doing some different kind of event and not the SRT thing?? I'm up for whatever! Keep looking bro, keep looking, that would be my 2 cents. Years ago my friend that lived down the street was into old Camaros for a while. He had a green 69 rs, a black 68 and sandwiched inbetween a yellow 69 Z28. That one was sweeeeeeeeeeet but for whatever reason he got rid of it pretty quickly. I told him he was stupid to sell it and only years later did he realize the error of his ways that dummy! To this day I still think of that car and that sometime down the road I'd love to have a 69 Z28! Yea, but then YOU get a 3 hour head start on ME the next day, lol!! :sly:
you get to drive the viper during the "viper drive" or "advanced car control" module...you dont get it up to speed that much because its more about handling and breaking...but its still very fun to have a 600hp viper to play with :towel: the TE was a TON of fun since its not your car
my mind occasionally drifts from time to time to pornographic scenario's involving myself and women i will never have a chance in hell with.
so is any one in any drift events or know of any events or should we just make this section just vid and pics of you guys drifting your cars.
