Does putting the throttle body near the air cleaner or farther away from the intake manifold break any rules?
did anybody catch the 6.1 hemi valve cover on the left side of the picture. thought he was going to work on the 5.7 engine only.
Probably? A lot of the PCM programming is hard coded to depend on physical attributes of the engine and makes assumptions on that. For example it thinks the IAT temp sensor is 4" from the throttle body. It's likely that it expects stuff like the TPS signal to correspond to the MAP signal. ie. goes from throttle closed to throttle open and expects the corresponding change in MAP within so many milliseconds. If it's a problem maybe it could be worked around, maybe not. It was just that sort of thing that caused problems for the dual throttle body/intake guys right? I would expect Nathan (Redfox) to be an expert in this area.
