The intake produced by hammer would be at a great advantage with the hood open, that is why I stated that the way the Bwoody is routed would not affect anything whether the hood be open or closed. They are 2 totally different CAI's

Stating that your intake is by far better compared to another supporting vendor, (who wouldnt say shit if they had a mouth full), without facts to prove it, to me, is rude....

Also Andy did numerous tests throughout the years, including numerous tests pertaining to certain CAI's. I am sure mike(bwoody) has done his own tests, but I will let him verify that when he gets a chance to read this thread....

Also what is your reasoning for being so against every comment I say? How long have you been around the Jeep SRT world cause I cant say I have seen you around long? For the record I have been around these trucks since early 2006, I know basically eveything about them as I have torn apart basically everything, able to be torn apart, with my bare hands....

    So has HammerAutomotive.

And its more how you MUST make a comment on everything that bugs me. Not the last word, but for what little bit you actually seem to care about intakes, you love jumping down their throat.

I am going to ask one more time...

    EVERYONE...Please move on...

AirHammer guys...please post a thread in the vendor section (if you have not already) regarding the testing techniques and results. Customers will look and judge for themselves as to whether or not to buy a product.

Anit Airhammer guys...I understand that you are trying to make sure everyone has the proper information, but you are posting it in the wrong place. If you are able to carry on a conversation calmly and informatively without flaming, please create a new thread (NOT directly insulting anyone, just for open discussion).

for ALL PARTIES...This has gone on long enough don't you think? Everything that is being said is basically repeated from other posts. Do I love every vendor that I have used/seen? No, but I also don't need to make a federal case over it. I understand some of you do not like HM, then bring your business elsewhere and don't worry about it. There is a difference between asking a vendor to prove their claims and openly attacking them. Most people feel like HM is being attacked. NOBODY on this site, be it a member, vendor, mod, or partner should ever be ATTACKED for anything do you not agree? If you feel that you have been attacked or insulted, that’s WHY we have mods here. Let us know and we will handle the situation. We want people experience here at the C to be a positive one, and this does not help that.

People are smart and will make the right decision for their own taste/situation.

So end this debate now. It's old and overdone.

cai this and cai that i've been following this thread for a while and as it seem's thor is attacking the bwoody product (why)? has mike or gregg from bwoody said anything negative about the hammer?not to my knowledge,I've been one of those testing members when bwoody first released there cai to the market, did i dyno it no,but to me it was more important to test it in real world conditon's being the 1/4 mile track.
first i did the stock box with a k&n drop in ran a 13.3 then the dub intake with a k&n filter attached ran a 13.2-13.3 then swapped out to the bwoody and 12.89-13.0
all these runs were same day in 65* air i think the results more than speak for themselves but it's not just myself who's done the testing or been a satisfied customer,iv'e yet to hear anyone complain about there intake..So hammer why don't you do what bwoody did send your product out across the us and have to customer's compare either it will be better or worse let them decied and not some dyno posting 40+lbs of trq #'s...

Old and overdone it is. Hammer...please refer to the PM's you have received. If you choose to post about your new product and not start a debate, you have every right to do so in your forum and lock the thread to responses or leave it open and moderate. This is your choice. I understand the need to protect your products from the naysayers and the fact that you are a small company. The results will prove themselves. This thread will be locked if you guy's want. In fact, there is no longer a use for this thread unless you're talking about video/sound clips of the Hammer at WOT. We're not in the business of shutting threads down...just so you know lol. Take it to PM or Private Chat or post a dyno sheet. Otherwise, this thing has come full circle like 50 times...

What kind of HP increase do you think it takes to run a 13.3 with a K&N and then a 12.89? It's more that 40 HP if the 60' was the same, and how much do you think you picked up over your stock filter? The DA was the same on all runs?

My car has spiked and extra 80HP and 100TQ from tire spin on the dyno.

So the point is, we can debate this forever. There are to many variables.

Cooler heads must prevail. An independant A/B will be done by someone , somewhere, and hopefully by someone with no vested interest.

As others have said. Give it a rest. Regroup in the proper forums, and try to work on our testosterone levels. LOL Thank You.

How is this a test?...they're WAY to many factors could have affected your numbers.
    Wind speed
    Tire slip
    Throttle management
Times between runs (Air and Track temp.)
Engine temp at time of run.
I am sure you were happy with the results but for us as a manufacturer this type of testing is far to subjective and open to speculation, which is exactly why we use a dyno.

I am sure our customers will publish there findings without influence having paid full price.
Receiving a benefit due to a discounted price potentially influences the test results, people would jump all over us if we handed out discount intakes and make the assumption the test is unbiased due to the gift received by the customer.

Further how do we ensure the testing is impartial... if we hand out intakes to people we have no knowledge of.

In our last round of testing with the THORHAMMER we were, with intent, setup by a fellow who had volunteered to help us with some dyno testing. He had agreed not to disclose information of the test until we had time to analyze the data, within hours that data was on the forums written by Gotstroke..
To say we felt betrayed would be an major understatement.

Attn. Admins and moderators...The above statement is exactly why we need to participate in these types of discussions.
Rumor and innuendo are rampant and without a publised declaration we have no way of defending ourselves against mis-statements posted above..

For the record WE DID NOT CLAIM 40 h.p or TORQUE, this information was published by another person at the test who did not understand how to read the data and was not privy to the fact that infact the data was incorrect.

I am not asking you to NOT have this discussion, I am asking that it happen in a more appropriate place. Having this out in an obscure jeep thread wont help anyone here.

Do you agree? I suggest that if you would like to have this discussion, to create a thread in your own forum which will give people who are interested a place to go to see any claims being made and your rebuttal.

    Thanks guys.

    I do

Hal, I drive with no hood, sometimes. But not in your car of course :sly:

Thread Starter: Your Jeep sounds friggin' AWESOME!!!

BTW: It's great to have choices when it comes to CAI's and every other mod. You guys go work your butts off making "The Best CAI" and we'll all enjoy the fruits of your labors. GIFO's were started to settle these matters.

Guys debate is good and like I said opinions are even better, but they need to be respectful. I and many other came to this site due to its fairness and openess and it gave us the feeling that is was managed by members not vendor money but I think we have taken advantage of the "Loose Leash" that the Staff has given us. It just gets to a point to where it makes zero sense in arguing over a product that is not even out yet and for whatever reason the delay is it's really non of our business as we are not in their shoes or can never comprehend what is going on. I too would have issues with someone judging my line of work when they really dont have the first clue on how it works. There is fault on both sides of the fence and at this point everything about this product is just based on assumptions and accusations until they release their final product. SO PLEASE just stop the bickering and back and forth bantering as it has proven nothing. It is my suggestions that this topic come to and end and let us all cool down and just wait for the product to come out and then we can refocus on the topic in a professional manner

    A Humble Response From Gotstroke

    Gentlemen,

I am passing this along at the request of Andrew. It is not meant to be confrontational. I am hoping that it will open a direct line of communication between the parties and end this thing in a public forum. Please do not reply back in this thread. Any issues and or concerns you may have, please contact Andrew directly at the email address below.

Mods and admins, if this is inappropriate, please let me know. I want to end this thing as much as you do. Thanks.

If you review the threads I posted results in you would see that all the
questions you asked above are answered within.
My Jeep has always been dyno'd at the same facitlity www.lasotaracing.com
owned by Don/Rob LaSota who co-authored the Diablo/SCT tuning manuals--they
fly all over the US teaching others how to tune. Rob has always used the
same procedure for testing, on the same dyno jet 248. We always test in 4th
gear and always use SAE correction.
Mods on my Jeep varied per test, but were always included in the threads I
posted. It has always been a stock longblock N/A affair though--as are
    most Jeeps on this site.
I always run Shell 93 octane pump gas, as the station is .5 mile down the
    street from my house.
The PCM was not reset between runs since I have a Diablo CMR tune (from
B&G), it's simply not necessary. Yes we monitored A/F, IAT, and oil/coolant temps.
I always run 40psi cold in my tires (not that it would make any
    real difference).
Rob LaSota and at least four other shop employees were at all tests with
random others showing up depending on what test--they were all open to the
public. I freelance for Primedia Publications and have conducted dozens of
parts tests at the track and on dynos for years for publicatoin. My credibility has never been questioned, as such I don't expect it to happen now.
The dyno was installed 11 mos. ago and last cal'd 4 mos. prior to my last
    test.
If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me directly at
[email protected] as I've been banned from the site and cannot answer you in a direct manner.

I apologize to the mods/admins/staff for this post however I wanted to make sure the facts were known and felt I had a right to defend myself against these incorrect assumptions.

    Thanks
    Andy
