I live in Atlanta Ga. and race at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds Ga. The track sits at 500ft above sea level. The first pass I made this past fall I had a 180 thermostat/fan mod, BWoody CAI/brake duct and Mopar cat back. At this time I was still running on stock run flats. It was about 65 degrees that day. I kept it in auto stick and power braked to 2k. I ran a 13.15@103 with a 60' of 1.88. Spinning a good bit off the line. Before I returned to the track again this spring I wanted to make sure I could put her in the 12's. I decided to add Kooks headers and go with an email tune from B&G. I also threw on some Toyo's (275/315). So this Friday we went to the track and I was amazed. Temp was around 60 and while waiting to stage I iced the intake manifold and let the fan run. I have read time and time again that many guys prefer to just stomp it intsead of any type of power braking. So I pulled up in auto stick and on the third yellow I stood on it. Tires may have rolled over once or twice and I was gone. I managed a 60' of 1.79 and a 12.6@106. Only a few people stopped by to check out the truck while in the staging lanes while waiting to make the first pass. Yet, after the 12.6 there was a gang of a dozen people around the truck the rest of the night. Thanks guys. 1/8 mile was [email protected] My slip is at the end of 2nd vid. Staged with engine temp under 185 and oil temp at 113. I think the fan and ice made a huge difference.
Thanks Dave. I was the guy calling last Friday about my tune and the race gas. Your tune worked awesome. Thanks again.
