As long as this is an option that can be turned on or off by the cars owner....this is probably a good idea

I think it`s a great idea for youngsters. I personally got numerous speeding tickets and got into several accidents between the ages of 16-19 becuase i was driving too fast and listening to a custom stero i had no business having in my car.

you know some garbage like that would come out too LOL

Yeah...it would be cool if you could put in the settings you wanted....like set the limit to 55 or something....the stereo is a good idea though but wouldn't work as it would only be compatible with a stock stereo and like you said....that's the first thing to go lol

my coworker was telling me about this, this morning and its a very good idea.

most parents can tell the kid if you put in an aftermarket stereo were taking the car away. the kid would probally not do it for fear of losing there transportation.

or if you get those defiant kids set the car to not start with out the radio. make it to were you have to enter a code in the stock radio to get the car to work.

I really think it's a great thing for parents too. I know when we were 16 we drove wildly at times....some of those incidents could have turned out for the worst. During a some camping with the boys at a beach town north of us, we basically did a cannonball run there. Normally 2.5 hrs away at the appropriate speeds....made it alot sooner. Could have been bad for everyone and I wasn't even driving...stupid.

Great idea, but if I ever have a kid they're getting a stripped down, underpowered tank with no radio. When I was 16, I had electrical problems with my truck that knocked out the radio and dash but the car would still run. It was most definitely the best thing for my driving. It allowed me to drive by feel instead of being pressured to keep a certain speed and no distractions.
