So, I did a few runs when traffic permitted with the juice. I'm running a 24 fuel jet, and my a/f from 1st thru half of second gear is 11.0 - 11.4, with a quick 10.9 dip in 1st gear. Mid 3rd gear thru half of 4th 11.1-11.5. But it smells horrible. My cousin says it smells like that cause theres too much gas. Should I lower the fuel jet?? Or pull fuel with the predator.
..not being stupid....... which way do we go toward to richen up on Predator. toward rich, or toward lean? thanks.... I went toward rich on the way home, and almost thought it was slightly leaner. I wish it said richen.........leaner. make sense?
It does???? Mine says "Rich" on the left side and "Lean" on the right side. Ari, I would drop your fuel jet down one size. You could also move your WOT fuel 1% to the right.
You are pretty close already. These are the 3 ranges you can modify. Fuel table 1000-3800rpm (+/- 20%) Go to the right 1.5% Fuel table 4000-4800rpm (+/- 20%) Go to the right 1% Fuel table 5200-7000rpm (+/- 20%) Go to the right 1% Try those settings and see what your AF is. Run it from a dead stop till right after it shifts into 4th to simulate a 1/4 mile run.
still confused. I know it says rich.............0............lean. Which way do I go, FOR SURE TO RICHEN? I forget. Before on the Predator I had for my Cobra, it meant on an A/F range... and was very confusing. That is why I wish to make it richer........it said "RICHEN" to lean it out it should say ......"LEANER". Right now I am over thinking.....does rich mean ..to richen, or it is to rich? Sorry for the trouble, I am going to put a label on my Predator. I hate retuning my truck all the time, and I could go move it one way, log, and then the other... but if you know "for sure" just reply back. thanks, Chuck
I know for a fact the moving it toward rich or lean will affect the AF in the same way. I was at 11.9 and moved my WOT fuel 1% toward lean and it ran at 12.0 AF.
so toward lean makes it leaner....right? thanks, Chuck I am not as dum as you tink I is ! .... just double-checking.
lol, a number of revisions ago I think they had it labled "-.........|........+". It was refering to the a/f ratio NUMBER. So, move it left and you got a lower number,"-" and move it right and you got a higher number "+". That didn't work out so well... It's "where you want to go" and not "what you want to fix".
