I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now, but I’ve been having issues with Photobucket! My wife and I had a long weekend together 2 weeks ago, to celebrate our 7 year Anniversary! When she was at work Thursday, I took 12 hours, 11am-11pm to do a full correction on her '07 SRT8 Cherokee. The process was as follows: 2 bucket wash with a firehose nozzle & 2 Jumbo wash pads (and my new Rapid Reel setup ) Blow dry & Absorber dry Claybar entire Jeep 1 pass (2 passes in some areas) of SHR (Swirl & Haze Remover by Adam's) 1 pass (2 passes in some areas) of FMP (Fine Machine Polish by Adam's) 1 coat of BG (Brilliant Glaze by Adam's) 1 coat of Americana Wax (by Adam's, lol) Super VRT (by Adam's) on tires, and ALL plastic trim In & Out Spray (by Adam's) on grille mesh The Jeep was in "good" condition, as I've ALWAYS maintained it very well. However, in the "before" pics you can see small scratches. This is very simply done from lower quality microfibers being used, and slightly less than perfect technique. Since being intro'd to Adam's Polishes, the towels, and perfecting my technique. Those scratches are a thing of the past!!! I am BLOWN AWAY at how truly EFFECTIVE the Super VRT is. The shine is unbelievable, and the fact that it dries to become to dry to the touch is just cool. Weird, but cool, lol. And now, after a wash, and a rainstorm later, there's NO residue, and it's still SUPER black, and REPELS water. Stuff is truly the best I've EVER used in a product of this sort. BEFORE: DURING: AFTER: The 300 got the same process less than a month ago. So that day she just got another 2 bucket wash, Absorber & blow dry, Detail Spray wipedown, and Super VRT on the tires and plastic! Here's some afters of the Jeep, along with the 300. I did a full detail on the 300 today, along with some EXTRA attention to the engine bay, but it was dark when I finished it. Tomorrow I'll update this thread with some new shots of the engine bay. Hope you enjoy!
Beautiful! Do you buy direct from Adams? I'm considering selling a few safe queens (pistols and an upper for an AR), excess gun parts and gear to finance some much needed and wanted stuff for my car. As always, nice and shiny....the way they should be!
Omyme, looks stunning Chase! Idea, if I pay for the planeticket and supply the neccesery beer, will you take care of my sorry excuse for a Magnum? I feel sooooo bad about my car when I see yours... Fredrik:flowers:
Nice cars and nice house btw. What golf course are you living next too? This threads sortive answers my other post. I just don't see the charger
Many thanks Larry!! :bye: Yes, right off the website, although I'm about to begin buying from a dealer that lives an hour north of me. In ALL MY YEARS of detailing competitively, Adam's is BY FAR the best product to ever touch my vehicles. I'm hooked. And thanks so much for the kind words. I will GLADLY put you up!!! I'd love to lay my hands your Magnum.......(***runs & hides from comments that will ensue from this statement***) Thanks brutha!!! Preciate ya big guy!! No golf course, that's my back yard. And the Charger is in the body shop right now. HOPING to get it back in the next couple of weeks. See here: http://srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20118&highlight=goolsby
Wow, great work Chase! They've always looked perfect but we've never seen detailer specific type shots before. AND I can't remember seeing a shot of what you did to the rear of the Jeep with the black parts. I like that that! I've been thinking of replacing the side trim pieces on my windshield and the bottom trim pieces on the side windows due to major white spotting (it's pretty bad). You think VRT would turn them uniform black again? I was figuring to try Meguires back to black (or whatever Meguires calls it) but that's only cause that's the only thing that came to mind.
Douche Thanks. And YESS!!! Super VRT will work. I PROMISE!! My buddy's Jeep that he just bought had BADLY faded fender flares.....and well....Let's just say they look new again!!! If the plastic has been neglected a bit, it may take a few coats for it all to "soak in." But buddy, once it does....... And the good part is, it's not harmful to paint. So if you wipe any excess onto the paint by accident, it just wipes right off. Thanks so much Jim!!
lol I went out to the garage and noticed you missed the whole damn car. lol Now get out here and make mine look that good.
