Why are the factory 6x9's and subwoofer speakers still in the car???

Why not narrow that rear end and add in some mini tubs?

 

I would think your shooting for 8's with what I've been seeing. Glad to see someone making a real race car out of an LX.

Some serious modding here..

 

He's planning on running in a local racing series around here. The class he will be in has a requirement that the rear frame rails stay in the stock location.

I really hope you're shooting for quicker than 9s. Aren't there stock susp, street trim LXs in the 9s already?? But regardless, good fab skills and cajones for cutting up a good car...

Anthony, the reason you don't is because it goes against all sanity to build a purpose built race car that begins it's life at 4500 pounds and 40k....that said...I LOVE IT! Keep it up fellas!
