OK I keep reading the threads about how Much to Forge My bottom end for Boost so I will Lay it down here In as simple terms and Pricing as I possibly Can. This is a generalization there will always Be more or Less then I list here But for a good Base for BIG Power (Or Medium Power)

6.1 Block New or Machined for new Piston's rings and Possible Stroker Crank

$1200-1400 Dollars depending on where you ask. Plus about $500-700 in Machining

    Forged Rotating assembly Compstar 392/426
$2699-3299 Again Depending on where you get it from and whether you want it pre balanced
Includes Stroker Crank rated to 800-1000 HP depends on who you ask
Compstar rods rated to 800 HP with ARP bolts
Mahle Pistons (Good for low boost up to 8 PSI)
    Rings, Wrist Pins, Bearings

Camshaft Built for your application $450

Ross Piston Upgrade for Big Boost (or J&E or whoever you want to use)Typically an additional $400-750 ad on to the Rotating assembly

    Main Bearing Studs $389

    Head Studs $359

    Gasket Set $399

    Oil Pump $189

Labor to assemble the Shortblock about $1000 Depending on who does it and if they do it right.

So there you go if you ad up my lowest numbers I posted here you get $6696 and you also get sseveral Items you wont get with other shortblocks.

Good info to know... Thanks John. Hopefully I can be doing this in the near future. I don't want to up my boost much more until I get it a little stronger internally.
