At least I show up for functions...

 

I give more details and pics tomorrow, but I think I did something to my suspension or at least the allignment. Lets just say I had all four wheels off the ground when I was racing a motorcycle... almost pissed myself! Lol!

 

The custom pullys will be ready soon. The billet oil caps are now blue.
But, the biggest news is I GOT A LOT BETTER MPG ON THE WAY BACK!!! I kid you not. It was hot as he11, stop and go traffic a lot of the way, and I averaged 19.7 MPG even with the 5 MPG stop and go. Get this, I re-set the MPG and I averaged 27.6 MPG on the highway going between 70 and 80, mostly with the cruise. I have never got that high of MPG before. I know a lot of 5.7's that don't get that good.

 

BTW... just got done doing some trips around the neighborhood with two passengers and I broke traction going 65 mph! Lets just say I need to go change my Depends now... Man...did I mention I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

I can also retrieve them for you Ralph... it may be a week or two, but I'll do it. Just have John F. have them put in my car ahead of time (so I don't forget, which I would likely do, as I'm alredy fired-up about the car... that pick-up day is gonna be a blur...)

Albert: John F. had a good idea. He's gonna wait until they're done testing/tuning before wheel install so that my new wheels/tires don't get jacked up by them.

He'll call when they're on, and rest assurred my friend, I'll let you know!

I'd like to do that! HOWEVER, it really depends on the time of day. It took Drew, what? 6 hours to get from Oxnard to San Diego yesterday?!?! I say this only because my Mom is coming out here from NY during the time I'm supposed to pick my car up, and I feel bad enough leaving for the day to do it. But, we'll see how it turns out. No promises, but I will try.

That is simply ridiculous.

OK, I gotta admit it. I was one of the passengers. I swore up and down not to ride in one of the Vortech cars until I got mine back, but I couldn't resist. I was there for this event, and it happened. I nearly shit myself. About 550 lbs of extra person weight in the car and Drew broke traction at that speed... the ass-end kicked out, I shit you all not! EDIT: Drew, what tires are those you're running?

Ralph, being fairly ignorant of cars compared to you all, the car is a different beast all together. That traction break at 60+ mph... WTF?!?! It pulls hard through the entire range (at least above 2800/3000 rpms)... its a serious performance improvement... and it runs SO SMOOTH!!!

BTW: Drew's car has a noticeable blower whine. NOT loud, but more than what Ryan's car has... sounds BAD ASS!
