So, Now that I hit the 4,000 mile mark (or will on my way home from work today), I figured I would let you know my feelings about the 09 Ram..... Well, it is impressing me less and less every second I have it.... I truly believe that my 2005 Ram SLT 1500 4x4 would have eaten this thing alive in the snow....and that really annoys me...and i have my real tires on this truck not the POS OEM ones that the truck came with.... There are a bunch of little annoying issues with the truck...the truck runs fine....but stupid stuff like my "side illumination" LED's are already burnt out on the drivers side....little plastic pieces on the interior broke (dodge broke them when installing the WiFi and has yet to replace them lol)...but they were cheap and woulda broken at some point anyway... add in that this weekend the MyGig system totally froze up and the only thing i could do to fix it is unhook the freaking battery to rest the whole thing.... I have a theroy when it comes to vehciles in general....one that i went against when buying my car and my truck...and one that is now kicking my ass.... The most crap you have in a car/truck...the more crap that can and WILL go wrong/break....Only issues i EVER had with the SLT were with the headlights being fussy....but then again...the truck was NEVER MEANT TO HAVE HID's! lol...this truck is totally facorty except for a muffler and i already am having issues.... I would say this....Overall...its still a great truck.... but....its more of a "cruser truck" then a truck truck....its got a GREAT ride and i love some of the ammenities....i feel like its a "when will they break too" sorta thing now.... Sadly enough...I think I shoulda stayed with my 05 SLT lol I swear if this thing is a huge annoyance and stuff like this keeps happening....I wont hesistate to sell the god damn thing and buy a F250/350 Super Duty / Ram 2500/3500 HD LAME!!!! I just hope that all the little bugs are out of this thing :stars:
That's the problem with going with the first year vehichles...they don't know what little bugs pop up. I sure hope it doesn't get too annoying.
I'd buy that but this isn't the first year for my gig lol.... the other little annoying ones so far at least....yea ill chalk that up to first year bugs
hate to hear this about the 09 Ram....best truck I ever drove as far as an everyday vehicle...my 10 aint an everyday....hope your problems are just glitches.....we were planning on trading the wife's Durango for one next year..
I will post up anything else I find with the truck as it comes up hopefully the MyGig will be the biggest issue
