What route are you going to use for heads, cam and intake? This is the same path I am planning. I want a 392 with Stage II heads, ported and coated intake, and cam still open to evaluation.
The one they show as a custom for the 392? Sweet choice. Can't wait to see dyno numbers. No pics of heads and cam? Their ported and coated intake shown on their site looks sweet with their logo. Did your short block come just like that from PPP? IS your old short block the "core charge".
His camshaft is a one off design. It will probably become the 392 race warrior depending on the results. The amount of effort that went into this engine was insane. This should be the fastest 392 in the country. Al can let his specs go if he wants, but the intake and the exhaust duration are 230+
This is the Mopar 392 crate engine that we dynoed a couple months back. Our goal was to make our own 392 that would make more power for less money. Al is at the dyno right now and we will report results shortly. If you divide by a 17.5% drivetrain loss, the numbers are 520hp/510tq which is really close to what they advertise the motor with.
