I went to pick the jeep up today but it will not be finished due to the parts department not having the transfer case fluid for replacement. So the tech fired the jeep up and with the first key cycle it was running! Boy oh boy did it sound nice.
The cam is hardly noticeable, just a tad more lopy than the stock cam but way torquier when on the pedal. I went for a quick 5 mile drive and all I can say is..........this is not the same jeep I dropped off a week ago!!!!! It feels a 1,000lbs lighter and hauls ass with just 1/4-1/2 throttle acceleration.

On the way back to the dealership the tech who came along with me to listen and make sure all is well, said to take it up to about 3500-4000. So with a little tap on the throttle the jeep took a big breath and shot forward, just a little sign of what is to come when WOT is permissible! Very good first impressions, once I get the CMR tune from GSM I think the jeep will come to life even more.

I will be doing more driving tomorrow and putting alot of miles on. I'll report back, and I have video of the start up and idle. I have to upload it tomorrow.

A good set of heads and a nice cam are just what these 6.1's need.....i have to admit I would have stepped the cam up a little. If you are in there you may as well go FULL BORE!!!!!! Glad to hear you like it

Sounds like the pieces are coming together nicely. Nothing like dropping the ride off for a few enhancements...and have it go smoothly.

Your mod lists shows "260" cam, I run a Comp 268. Wonder what the differences are in those two grinds? Like HotScott, I wish now I would have gone with the 273 but was worried about everyday driving.

Look forward to some time slips, vids and pics!

That happens a lot, people put in a small cam and they get bored with it real quick. I think the 260 is pretty mild compared to the 268 and 273. Its just such a pain to change it out more than once, that I always tell people to go big right in the beginning.
