I saw this while perusing Edmunds. I liked the SHO back in the day... this one is freakin' sweet.

Look at the interior of this car (Ford's website has nicer interior pics by far, btw). I'm most impressed with this aspect.

    365 hp. Not too shabby.

I do NOT like the "Ecoboost" tagline on the trunk... green (literally and figuretively) and cheesy.

Sure it starts at $37K, but that thing is pimped stock. Not bad. What say you all? I'd consider owning one.

I liked most of what I read momo...but dang, 4368 LBs?....lot for even a turbo 6 to pull.....I would be surprised it could go high 13s with that weight compared with an RT that has similiar HP and 200-300 Lbs less metal..:hmm:

Larry, I saw something where they said it'd do high 13s. 0-60 in like 5.

Yeah, that is what I meant...comparing weights & power between the RT & SHO I would think the SHO should be more of a low 14s car?....But I bet it is going to be a fun car to drive...

No Tam, just the wrong thread..:bye:

Ah, well, I totally don't get the appeal. Its ugly, its heavy, its underpowered and attempting to be green and oh yeah, its a Ford.

    1. My blue koolaid addiction pre-srt8 wasn't bad! That mustang was a good car for the money!

    2. Ford. Say what you will, I'm not a brand hater (GM can be an exception), but Ford didn't accept our tax dollars... We all need to remember that. Plus look at the interior of that SHO... Pretty nice.

    3. Rick... That M3 would finalize the divorce! LOL

It's okay, but not for me, I will never own another Ford...Had six of em in my life, and not ONE was a good experience...I grew up with my Dad being a "Ford Guy"...now he drives a Jeep. ;)

The original SHO was interesting. The motor was developed with Yamaha and where assembled by Evinrude of outboard motor fame.

    NIce looking car.

My 94 year old uncle will be wanting to buy another new car pretty soon. Maybe I'll talk him into one. He likes performance. Had a couple of Caddy STS's, and currently has a 07 Saturn Aura with the 3.6 V6 6 speed auto, which are supposed to capable of mid 14 second et's.

Plus our son Wes is a parts manager at a Ford dealership now, so family pricing.

I think Momo is the quintessential Taurus owner.

As for the brand loyalty or disloyalty, I understand about the whole "getting our tax dollars" thing, but if you're going to follow that logic there's a lot of other things to stop doing first. I for one am not planning to buy another NEW mopar/fiat/schmiat until they are no longer under government oversight AND they get their heads out of their asses about econo-boxes vs power/performance. And I guess I just love Mopars well, pre-2008 mopars and skipping the better part of the 80s when they tried to be all Japanese and mostly sucked.

As for Ford, my folks only bought USED fords to abuse for farm work and nothing else. Then again they liked Datsuns and Toyotas and I wouldn't touch one with a ten-foot pole.

Again, I don't see the appeal with this particular vehicle, but to each their own, its a free country for the moment.

In the 'near $40k range, there are many other cars I would look at before this one. Looks like a nice package overall, just not my cup of tea.

Well... you know how dogs and their owners tend to sort of look alike? think about it.
