2008 LX & Beyond Nationals (Columbus, OH)

One more question: Will the track be enforcing rollbar rules at 11.499 and under - just in case I "accidentally" go too quick?

 

It is an NHRA Track and they will require you and your vehicle to pass all NHRA Safety Rules. So 11.499 you better have a cage or slow it down.

You got 4 months to get a cage installed.

 

I was afraid of that. Our "quick 16" is going to be decimated. There'll be one legal car in attendance, and he'll win the event. The rest of us will be basically bracket racing with an 11.500 index. Oh well - I know the rules. I'll just have to rely on my average .050 reaction time (no box) and hope for some consistency on the top end in the 6.1L bracket class.

Don't wait until the last minute everyone. This event is gonna be HUGE. I am working with a 3rd hotel to block out some more rooms. It won't take long to fill up the Hilton either.

Why should I pre-register for the event?

• It shows our sponsors (potential sponsors) the importance for them to attend/support the event.
• Drag Race participants will be assigned entry numbers based on registration. Lower entry numbers get lane preference.
• NO Car Show entries at the gate. MUST pre-register to enter.
• ONLY pre-registered entries will be eligible to win door prizes.
• Minimize time spent waiting in line to check-in at the event.
• Gate Fee MAY increase for entries at the gate.

Update: Hotel Info

I just received word from the Wingate that they have 5 rooms available still for Saturday and Sunday night ONLY. All rooms for Friday are completely SOLD OUT. If there is anybody out there that is waiting until Saturday to head out to Columbus, or doesn't mind staying at the Hilton Friday and then moving over to Wingate on Saturday give them a call and reserve your room.

Make sure to give them the group code when you call or they will tell you they have nothing available.
