sorry had to post cause neons owns all r.j-lo SRT-4 Turbonetics GT-K vs. 1bad4dr SRT-8 s/c GS Motorsports
Aint that a bitch! That neon must be atleast 1000lbs lighter. I'm not sure what the gear ratio in the SRT8 is but I bet a set of gears would certianly help with a centrifical super charger.
yes, I could make excuses, but yes, Randy won two of the four runs. race #1 was all me, but the vid shows r.j-lo winning. lol I had already let off the gas. race #2. All Skittle race #3 no race. I actually had to change lanes (you can see this) as someone in a Mustang pulled into my lane. race #4. All Skittle. lol Fun runs for sure.
That car is a beast first of all. There are alot of fast cars here and both Randy and Ron happen to own one of them. The video wasent made to embarres anyone it was to show off both cars. I am happy to be friends with both drivers so the fact that is was 50/50 is just fine with me. I think Randy got into the high 400s on pump with the current turbo. He got into the low to mid 500s with the 50 trim IIRC. I <3 Albuquerque.
Yeah that little neon is a quick little bastard. But up here (5600 ft) neons have a distinct advantage. We can safely run more boost and due to the turbo we only lose about 8% of our Hp as opposed to 25%+ with the N/A crowd. There is a girl in a black C-srt8 who works near me and I have edged her out a couple times. She just shakes her head and smiles.
Mikey is correct. The race was to show a comparison from me and Randy first raced and my sled was bone stock. haha I was raped bad. Randy made 468whp on pump gas (22psi) with the GTK500. When Randy had the 50 trim, he made 517whp on race gas and 28psi. That lil Skittle is a beast, but alas, I think Randy traded it in for a Mustang last week? It is unclear as Randy will not tell anyone whether he still has the Skittle or not.
Give em credit. I know that it seems unreal that a skittle could beat a big ol v8. but you got to give the srt-4 credit they are fast out of the factory and respond very well to mods. here is a vid of our li'l 4 banger at the track. 500hp and 510 tq. on 100 octain pump gas.
yeah but try to get that front wheel drive neon side ways on some 22's Ron I love the fact that you dont worry about burning a little rubber with the 22's alot of people dont belive in buying new tires more than once
Rons a little different... he used to just buy a new Charger everytime he went through a set of tires... but his paint guy was staying to busy, so now he actually buys new tires...
