Josh, STFU dude. He is running it, no smoke and mirrors. It's a solid ride with a good top end package that performs as advertised with a good tune. His first 11 run had me beat by a whooping .023 sec. And then Josh at HHP stepped up and completed his tune. Now it's just flat kicking ass. I witnessed just how good this package runs on Ozzies ride and it works. Ask Trojan just how bad Ozzies walked away from both him and myself on the way out to the Rumble. It was stupid. Moa, hey buddy, congrats on the killer times. And be prepared, new and improved heads and cam going on this weekend. I'm gunning for ya brother
No I'm not. You just accused someone of cheating. And it's bullshit Josh. Moa is on the up and up and he's got one hell of a ride. Don't you think for one fucking minute that a NA 6.1 bottom end can't do what he did.
Never accused anyone of "cheating" as you put it. I did say it could very well be some freak of a motor. In my opinion I stated with a charge in 3rd according to the timeslip with his 60 being 1.79 it has one hell of a charge on the top end. You might want to read what I said. I wasn't bagging him at all, kudos to him if it's all motor. Looking at the norm of the big cubed motors, and running N2O this little 6.1 lays down this kind of time? Again re-read what I said you seem to have a tendency of acting out before you read.
I read it several times before I replied. And it was a very direct jab. There is no mistaking what you were getting at. Even with the down play. Totally unacceptable.
Anyone that knows anything about motors understands that HP is made in the top end (H/C/I) assuming a constant static C/R between the two naturally aspirated motors. Therefore a 6.1 has the same peak HP/TQ potential as a 426 running the same top end, with the larger motor making peak power lower in the band. IMO, it's not worth punching/poking a motor out 50+ inches unless you have the right combination (shorter runner manifold with larger diameter/cross sectional area, larger cam (which is not an issue), and heads with larger intake/exhaust ports/valves/seats. Even then why go all the way to 426"? I'd rather have a structurally integral design with a few less cubes. Anyway, hasn't HHP/Bishoff released a ~470rw dynograph from their stage II kit? Those numbers all sound about right to me. HHP presently has the best H/C kit on the market, and quite honestly I think someone will hit 500rw SAE on straight 93 in an LX with H/C and bolt-ons with a stock bottom end 6.1 this year. Shit, there are stock shortblock 346CI LS6s with ported stock heads/cam/FAST manifolds making 500rw SAE through manual trannys in F-bodys and 6.1 Hemi heads > LS6s.
Wow, a vendor who calls it like he's sees it. What a novel concept indeed. For the record, in no way do I agree with the post above.
I know of 2 cars that are running better then anyone, Hemi~C~ and DVS SRT. Im not calling bullshit on either just saying there not normal cars. No one else has come close. Same day, same track, then we will see.
Ozzie walked on me from 75 mph roll, me in 4th him in 3rd. When I ran him on the road the second time I pulled on him hard, both in 3rd
DVS and Ozzie have the same package a hhp stg 2. Oz runs 12.5's with no DR's and DVS runs 11.7's with dr's correct me if Im wrong.
Sacramento is a fast track. Not like Atco or ETown, but fast for the West. Hell, I was there the night Anthony (Udluuz) ran 11.51 at 122.00 a year and a half ago. Stock block GSM SC 6.1.
For the record to get a 4200+ lbs pound sled to go into the elevens takes some impressive torque and some nice hp at the top. You should know that. From what I've seen on my dyno with 6.1'a running the same package, and others running a package very similar it's hard to swallow all motor. Not saying that it can't be done, but from 372 cubes in a sled....well maybe the planets where aligned. Again I never said it wasn't impossible so don't go putting words where they don't belong, but I have installed this same kit on a customers car and I know what it did, and I know what it does at the track with the same tune in it. A slow 60 and a high trap speed dictates a strong charge from 4500 to redline assuming 6400 rpm's. Your chasing the clock with a slow 60 and trapping it with a high mph. Point being other people with stroked motors with spray and or boosted have got to be scratching their heads. People who have hit the elevens in these cars know how hard it is to do and how much horsepower and torque it takes to get there. Personally I'd like to see a dyno report from this 372.
I'd like to see a dyno graph as well. A slow 60' and high trap can also indicate low traction at launch, or spinning. With the right gear, converter, and tire package a stock shortblock 6.1 LX should have no problem running mid 11s@120+ We'll see it happen this year in an LX, IMO. I also think we'll see a stock longblock N/A Jeep SRT8 run 11s in the quarter. It takes time to milk the best out of a modified combo (I'm sure you'll agree). It's only going to get better from here on out thanks largely to Diablo giving us the ability to custum tune. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is a large disparity in the apparent quality (as proven by the results (dyno/track)) of engine builders used by new Hemi vendors. Also without traction power is nothing.
Why is this so hard for you to believe?Cause your shop car hasn't done it...(sorry Trojan)?Sounds more like jealousy to me.For the record I only Dyno 480 on spray and run 11.40's.....gonna tell me I don't do it?And I do it at 4500lbs.IMO if your that worried about it you should be concentrating on getting yours there instead of trying to discredit someone who has been there all year. Then you can start your own thread congratulating yourself which seems to be what you are best at anyway!rop:
Wow, just got back on the forums promised my wife i wouldn't get on the computer on Valentine Days. BTW Happy Valentine Day everyone . Did someone not have a good Valentine , Where is all this action coming from? First off ,what is a video going to do and how is that going to prove if someone on the bottle. Second there are forum members thats been out there and seen the car in action, hemmissy, joshsrt, etc....... and if you don't believe them you can drive up north to witness it yourself and if you still don't believe it and don't want to waste your gas and time you can just call Sacramento Raceway and ask to speak with the tech guy theres only 2 and ask about the black 300srt that runs on Wednesday they'll know what car your talking about . I thought at least someone was going to accuse me of taking seats and stuff out, from the forums but this came out of nowhere. It's ok you guys you are not the only ones most of the spectator in Sac don't beleive it either and their standing there looking at the motor themself. Most of you guys seen alot of the timeslip and followed the car through out years and seen the progress it's made I just want to thank you guys for your support . I don't want to knock on anyone product or work because i know it takes alot of hard work and effort to get to where there at.I just try to set goals for myself and reach them. When i set my first goal to reach 11.9? N/A stock block alot of people didn't think that was possible, But then a year later I was there and over time as people followed it was accepted that it was possible. Maybe all we need is just time and other people to get there to really think its possible. I'm still in Shock Myself and it's been a week and a half.
