Anyone know if you have to have the dealer reset the "oil change" thing in the evic or if you can manually turn it off or reset it in a 2008 300SRT8? my buddy says his "change oil" thing wont go away and was wondering if it was like the Mercedes ones we have that it just keeps pissing you off till you have them reset it lol Yes hes a member here but doesnt get on much/or at all...i dont think hes a forum guy
Mine went away after about 200 miles on it's own but I down loaded the preditor tune during that time too so it might have been on account of that. Getting my first oil change today I will ask the service department for sure.
Alright, here is the answer from the service guy I talked to today: He said you turn the ignition to on with out starting the car, then push the gas peddle to the floor three times. Turn the ignition off and back on again with out starting the car and push the gas peddle to the floor again three times, and it should be reset, until the next service reminder.k:
